Friendly and thoughtful owners Claire and Graham with Hetty the Collie, who made friends with Milo our Labrador. Loads of detailed advice, mapping and guidance on mountain biking and walks to suit our family's needs. It is working farm, with the cottage in the grounds, which has an orchard, garden, woods and fields. There is a small pond which Milo jumped in, and I had to use the farm outdoor tap to wash Milo pronto. We counted five cows and three sheep on the farm, and two feral cats. The location is convenient for driving to various locations and points of interest. As a bonus, I conquered my fear of steep winding roads. 20% gradient on one of them! I didn't check my work emails the whole time I was there! We packed so much in yet felt really rested by the end. My son commented that everyone around is so friendly and happy, which he attributed to the fresh air. When we arrived there was a bottle of red wine on the table, a pint of semi-skimmed milk in the fridge, and chocolates on each of the pillows. Mobile reception not great - had to use my son's phone as he is on another network. However, the internet speed is great. I can't recommend enough; judging by the bookings, we are not alone in this opinion.
