The Kitchen was perfect. Lovely front room and the bedroom was wonderfully comfortable for a really good night sleep. The upstairs lounging area was very much enjoyed. The local area was great to explore from this easily accessible location. So many attractions and things to do hope to come back and do more of these things one day. On arrival the owners left us a bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Being located at the end of a cul-de-sac, it was nice and quiet too. The property was within easy reach of the M1 and in a great location for visiting local attractions such as the Crich Tramway museum, Chatsworth House, Bakewell and the Peak District. The Peacock restaurant, which is only a few hundred yards away, was really excellent and there were many other good pubs and restaurants in the wider area. All in all it added up to a very pleasant stay and was fantastic value for money. Reviewed by Anthony5.0★Aug 2019 "We as a family thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience at Linbery." We could not have picked a better location to enjoy the surrounding area. The house itself was fantastic with our 13 year old enjoying his own wee bit space in the loft. I would strongly recommend Linbery to anyone. We only managed to get as far as Bakewell as there was so much to do. The local pub "The Butchers Arms was excellent. The meals were hearty and very reasonable. The Pesto across from the house was nice but a little pricey. We hope to return soon to further explore the area as it appealed to us all. Excellent three "C"s comfort, cleanliness and convenience. Comfortable lounge suite for relaxing. Good quality bed mattresses for sleeping. Instant hot water shower with a non slip bath mat. Powerful hair dryer. Very well equipped kitchen with even plasters for sore walking heels and cling film for picnic sandwiches. Easy parking on driveway in front of garage with dropped curb access. 24 hour supermarket within 5 mins drive at Alfreton. And 2 pubs within 2 mins walking if you do not want to cook. With so many things to do and lovely national park on the doorstep it was great. It is located close to the town of Alfreton and the Derbyshire countryside which we wanted to visit during our vacation. I don't think I will ever stay in Hotels again after this great experience. The property A lovely, modern single-storey semi-detached cottage, in a quiet residential area in the village of Oakerthorpe, 4 miles from Crich, on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Oakerthorpe is a small village in the south of Derbyshire, and boasts several pubs. There are walks around the village and beyond, moving up the valley to some of the most beautiful views of the Derbyshire Dales. Supermarkets, shops and a post office are available in nearby Alfreton. Crich, the home of the National Tramway Museum is 4 miles away, and Matlock, 8 miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions including Gulliver's Kingdom. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with its show-caves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze.
