We booked this place for our honeymoon week away with our 2yr old son and we was pleasantly surprised how amazing this little cottage was, we was shown around by the owners who live onsite, asked that if we needed any additional help to contact them and did not see them until dropping the keys in on the final day, They do not bother you at all and very friendly. The cottage is well equipped and the hot tub is amazing and so relaxing. The Admiral chip shop across the road was nice and local shops wasn't that far. Closest supermarkets however are around 15/20 drive away. We visited Tamworth Castle, Twycross Zoo, Ashby de la Zouch Castle and The National Brewery Centre In Burton-Upon-Trent during our stay. We would also recommend The Cricketts Inn pub, about a mile and a half away for eating out, lovely food and excellent customer service. On reflection we would book this cottage again from Mr & Mrs Moore. Thank you a relaxing honeymoon. Regards Mr & Mrs Thompson

Overseal is a bustling little village in the heart of the National Forest, located in south Derbyshire, within easy reach of the picturesque Derbyshire Dales. With a number of pubs and shops, Overseal is very close to many chocolate box villages and interesting towns. Nearby Burton upon Trent is a town straddling the River Trent, made famous by its breweries, and with The National Brewery Centre interactive museum close by, you can sample some of the many award-winning ales and learn a thing or two about the brewing process. The village is full of history from the reign of Henry III, and there stands a lovely church with an oak tree that is said to have hidden Charles II in his escape from the Roundheads! There are many historic sites and places of interest such as Tutbury Castle, the Old Marina and Claymills Pumping Station.
