Located at the edge of the Peak District and within easy reach of all its major attractions, this sympathetically-refurbished cottage is the self-contained guest wing of a 16th century listed manor house overlooking the beautiful Rivelin Valley.
Despite its rural setting, local shops and pubs are barely a mile away, and all of the Peak District’s highlights are easily accessible, and there is plenty of excellent walking country on the very doorstep.
The owners have spared no expense in creating the ideal place for a luxurious break for parties of up to six thanks to three large bedrooms and comfortably-furnished communal rooms.
The cottage is exceptionally spacious and there is free secure parking on site.
If you are eating in or out the owners have negotiated delivery services from some excellent local takeways, offering everything from Indian to Chinese and Lebanese cuisine.
Supermarket deliveries are also available, as well as food shops and a small supermarket one mile away.
Restaurants (Indian/Italian/Turkish/Modern British) are within 3.1 miles.
The owners also offer a hire service for their on-site wood-fired pizza oven (they’ll provide everything you need for your own pizza party, including wood, firelighters, pales etc).
This service is available on request and can be arranged at extra cost.
Attractions nearby include, The Rivelin Valley Trail, a walk through the historic sites of the waterwheels that once powered the cutlery industry, less than 0.5 miles away.
Mam Tor, Kinder Scout and Ladybower reservoir (trout fishing available in season) are all within a 15 minute drive.
