  • "Our stay at the Calf Shed was excellent."

Prior to our arrival we received excellent directions from Wendy the owner, as well as asking for our choice of wine. This accommodation is small sized but does not detract from the comfort or facilities. It has everything you need & is equipped to a high standard. Set in a very peaceful location yet well placed to explore the Peak district. The hosts, Wendy & Peter are very friendly & strive to make your stay as wonderful as possible.

It was a bit smaller than expected but perfect for a short break. The bed was a bit unsteady in the way that it moved every time you did - other than that we had a lovely stay, thanks for having us.

The cottage is set in a beautiful, peaceful location with plenty of parking. Wendy was a wonderful host providing great info pre our stay and giving us a warm welcome on arrival. The calf shed is a lovely cottage and even better than the pictures. Really well equipped with everything you would need and Wendy had kindly left us a bottle of wine,a pint of milk and some eggs from the farm! Super clean, and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to return.

The kitchen was well presented and equipment modern. The owner was very welcoming and met me on arrival, which was a lovely touch. As the owners were on site, it felt safe and secure and I can thoroughly recommend for anyone on their own. There was plenty of outdoor space and the swing seat with a beautiful view was my particular favourite. Lots of trails and places of interest, great food and the Derbyshire people I met were friendly and helpful.

Although was much smaller than we expected and photos are deceptive. There isnt really any living area just a small two seater sofa in the kitchen. Could do with them being reclincers to put your feet up.ok for long weekend but alittle too small for a week stay. That said its was lovely and would return . Wendy the owner was lovely.
