Sowerby Bridge 3.8 miles; Leeds 31.1 miles

Rishworth is a small village in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, with a church, Rishworth School and abundant farmland engulfing the area. Lying on the fringes of Ripponden, you area within easy reach of shops, cafes, takeaways and several pubs serving food and real ale. There is also a local supermarket and an award-winning restaurant should you choose to dine out for the evening. Find the Cat Stones, a series of ancient, round barrow burial sites upon Rishworth Moor, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby, you also have Hebden Bridge, a diverse, bohemian town playing host to restaurants, bars, an independent cinema, art galleries, and the babbling Rochdale Canal. A scenic car ride over the moors takes you to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, as well as the Parsonage Museum, which commemorates the famous Bronte family.
