The huge dining table with matching wooden benches can easily seat the whole group to enjoy meals together or play family games, while the kitchen has an island with breakfast bar seating, as well as a double oven and all of the necessary appliances you could need during your self-catering holiday.

Upstairs are four bedrooms; a king-size double with zip/link feature, two almost identical doubles with matching en-suite shower rooms and a twin room, ideal for children, serviced by a family bathroom with shower over bath.

Outside there is off-road parking available for two cars and a rear courtyard garden with furniture, accessed through the patio door in the kitchen, while there is shared use of the open lawn, pond, barbecue and 10 acres of surrounding woodland to explore.

The popular Peak District town of Matlock, together with its neighbour, Matlock Bath, has been attracting visitors to the area since the spa was developed in the late 17th century. Set in the beautiful wooded gorge of the River Derwent, the Matlocks offer a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a host of attractions including Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Peak District Mining Museum. Magnificent views down the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car which takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham – a great place for all the family with its showcaves, nature trail, water gardens and Owl Maze. South of the town is the start of the High Peak Cycle Trail, whilst a short drive away is the National Tramway Museum at Crich.
