  • "Being given the wrong key code to collect the keys was a bad start and it was difficult to contact someone to help as there is no phone reception!"

A mobile number to contact out of hours should be given, I managed to contact Sykes but what if we had arrived after they shut? The house is in a good location, plenty of room, large bedrooms and plenty of parking. A nice lake to walk around, just a short walk which was nice. However the property let itself down by being dirty, something was splashed all across the kitchen wall, there was dried pasta on the kitchen floor, had it been swept?? The showers were not the cleanest and there was lots of wear and tear in the building paint damage on the walls and ceilings which just made it feel very tired. The blind was broke in the single room. The bulb was broke in one of the doubles. Not sure we would return.

  • "Hassop - Setting was perfect even with no phone signal."

A few of our party got lost as did the Tesco delivery driver! We found a few maintenance issues within the property & some areas not completely clean.. We addressed these on departure. Reception staff very friendly & listened to our concerns. We had a fantastic weekend the house is spacious with large bedrooms, kitchen very well stocked with cutlery, crockery & utensils. Plenty of hot water, comfortable beds & bathrooms. We would definitely recommend & return.
