The property

Traditional 19th century stone-built semi-detached cottage in the quiet hamlet of Tansley, near Matlock.

Woods View Cottage is a cosy property, perfect for a group of five or small family to explore the countryside of the Peak District.

Enter from the front door into the cosy sitting room with comfortable sofas and a stone fireplace with a warming and soothing woodburning stove to relax in front of.

The one wall is stripped back to the original bare stone and this beautiful feature carries through to the kitchen diner with everything you need for a slap up meal.

Both bedrooms on the first floor can offer double or twin beds so along with the single bedroom on the ground floor it’s very versatile.

The modern bathroom features a walk-in invigorating shower.

The delightful garden enjoys lovely views of the valley and is the perfect place for a barbecue or something cold to enjoy whilst the sun goes down.

You might be tempted by the pub which is just a few minutes’ walk away as well as fantastic walks and rides right from the door.

It’s a very short hop to Matlock and Matlock Bath, famous for its promenade, cable car to the Heights of Abraham and Gulliver’s World Theme Park.

Just a little further is the quaint market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.

Wherever you go, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

This cottage provides relaxing accommodation in a lovely part of the country, to suit all types at any time of the year.

The small, rural village of Tansley is peacefully situated in the Derbyshire Dales, just 2 miles from Matlock and is home to two welcoming pubs and several colourful garden centres. The county town of Matlock is just 2 miles away and was popular from 1698 until 1950 for its warm springs that provided water therapy to travellers from near and far.
