  • "We had a brilliant holiday in Corner Cottage it had everything we needed for a lovely relaxing break."

The cottage is well located near all the local amenities. and is spacious caters extremely well for dogs and though there is no garden the cottage is right next to able space to walk your pooch with many amazing walks from the front door. If you are looking to eat out Nellies is great for a cheeky treat and recommend the Wimbledon waffles a real treat for the eyes and the belly. A place we visited often during our week. The corner chip shop is also very nice as is the bistro, Tideswell is not short of places to eat out or grab a takeaway and also benefits from a butchers a bakery and bookshop and ATM and a well stocked co-op. We can't wait to return next year.

  • "Lovely Cottage maintained to a high standard with adequate space for 6 Adults, however the lack of additional toilet/ shower facilities should be reviewed with a single bathroom and toilet and therefore I would suggest at least adding a toilet down stairs in the cellar would be a good start."

  • "Superb cottage, ideally situated for walking and cycling."

Couldn't fault it for cleanliness (particularly reassuring in these times) or comfort and the owners had thoughtfully provided a great welcome pack with all we needed to get us going. The co op around the corner, although small was excellently stocked. We had a wonderful stay!

  • "Lovely cottage."

Clean, comfortable and superbly equipped. Welcome pack was a nice surprise. Even a treat for the dog! Loved the cellar. Great facility for bikes and laundry. Tideswell is a great village. Two friendly pubs within a couple of minutes walk. Two chip shops, yummy bakery and Coop. Only down side was the steep steps into the property and the stairs. Difficult for an 80 year old! Parking not too much of an issue. Shame about lack of garden but both of these were exactly as described so came as no surprise. Overall. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you.

  • "The cottage was really lovely and immaculate."

The attention to detail in the cottage was exceptional and I would recommend it to anyone. We didn’t have any dogs with us but the basement Area was great , and ideal for cleaning the dogs after being out and keeping the cottage clean and tidy.. thanks for thinking about all the small details which make the cottage stand out from its competition. We would definitely go back there again.

  • "It was perfect for a three generations holiday."

Your decor and furnishings were such good quality that it was a pleasure to spend time there. You seemed to have thought of everything in the kitchen and the equipment was good quality. Sorry not to be able to take advantage of your cellar for bike storage - it should appeal to cyclists The cottage itself had character and Tideswell itself is a lovely place full of interesting history. We explored St John';s church and my husband played the organ there after our daughter met the organist. The locals are friendly and the eating opportunities good. We specially enjoyed relaxing and breakfasting in High Nelly's next door. The small shops are interesting and varied and the co-op seemed to stay open very long hours.. We just wished there was more than one loo for the six of us. Otherwise perfect. Good centre for exploring the Peak District e.g. Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, Crich tram museum. Thank you.

  • "Corner Cottage is perfect for cyclists."

The cottage is very well appointed with comfortable beds and furnishing throughout. The Tideswell location is picturesque and great for reaching the fantastic cycling available in the Peaks including Monsal Head and Winnat's Pass (and much more). It has several nice pubs, chippies and other good places to eat. The cottage itself is next door to a very nice cafe from which to start or finish a ride with a good coffee, and has a very large cellar for storing bikes. Steve and Katie were very accommodating about arrival and departure which enabled us to maximise our opportunities for riding over the weekend we stayed. In all, a great place for a cycling weekend and I expect other weekends too.

  • "We loved the location, middle of the peak District, Tideswell is lovely and there's a bakery with yummy goods just around the corner."

I really appreciated that the house was so suitable for our dog. There was a basement sink so no mud in the house and cloths for washing her after muddy walks. The owners also left food and water bowls and a little treat for the dog :). So kind!

The cottage was very well presented and the owners had thought of everything. We thought Tideswell itself was lovely little town, with everything we needed close by. The bedrooms were beautiful and the kitchen was well equipped and very clean. We liked the open plan living area as it meant everyone socialised on our family weekend away. We would definitely recommend.

Main living space and one bathroom a bit cramped for six adults but plenty of bedroom and cellar storage space and fine for short stays. Shame no garden but access to village amenities makes up for it. Lovely cafe next door.
