    Mr Baker

“Great cottage in a lovely location.”

Very well equipped with excellent wifi. Three roomy bedrooms and a cosy lounge. Kitchen has all you would need and the cottage is clean and well kept. The first floor double bed is a little hard but the attic bedroom is lovely and comfortable and surprisingly warm in winter. There was an issue with the television which was not a big deal for us at all but the owners insisted on replacing the TV and even sending an engineer when the new installation didn't work. Would definitely recommend.

The property

A lovely end-terrace cottage in the heart of the Derbyshire village of Tideswell.

Comfortably furnished throughout to provide cosy accommodation, the cottage is just the place for families to use as a base to discover the glorious Peak District.

Set over three floors, you will find two lovely double bedrooms and a twin room and downstairs offers a traditional open fire to relax in front of after a day of exploration.

Outside the cottage is plenty of space to enjoy, with a tiered rear patio and side decked area with furniture, all ready for an evening drink or your morning cup of tea!

Just on the doorstep, Tideswell has some good pubs and places to eat, individual curiosity shops, and an ice cream parlour.

Beyond Tideswell, the whole of Derbyshire and the Peak District are just waiting to be explored from your cottage, with excellent walking and cycling on offer.

The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are just a short drive, while the imposing Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are nearby, along with a fantastic array of attractions to take your pick from!

A lovely cottage base for your Peak District break all year round.

About the location

TIDESWELL

Buxton 9 miles; Bakewell 9 miles.

The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
