Mrs Harris “The cottage was lovely, cosy, warm and comfortable and the perfect place to come back to after a good days walking.”
The cottage had good views from the windows and was in the lovely village of Tideswell.Everywhere looked even more beautiful when we had heavy snow for a couple of days. Very nice holiday and we thank you very much.
Ms Mcgregor “The area is beautiful and Tideswell itself has everything you need but is still so peaceful.”
Tahoe Cottage is lovely. Warm, great spot, extremely well equipped and within walking distance of everything this lovely village has to offer. I would highly recommend a visit to the area and definitely recommend booking Tahoe Cottage as your base.
Mrs Jackson “Our third visit to Tahoe.”
It's in a great location and the cottage has all the facilities one needs. It"s like a home from home with friendly neighbours We"ll definitely visit again.
Mrs Harman “What a gem.”
Before booking Tahoe we looked at so many cottages making sure it met our needs. Central to the Peak District for walking (so many walks, some without even having to use the car) a pub nearby in case we didn’t fancy cooking. (there were three excellent pubs and two chip shops within walking distance) and last but not least dog friendly (we were a bit worried about all the steps to the garden but in fact the small courtyard area was ideal without getting wet/muddy paws) Would highly recommend, other comments have said cosy now I know what they mean, a perfect cottage in every way.
Mrs Jarvis “Lovely cosy cottage in an picturesque village, which had everything that we needed.”
Would recommend and will definitely return in the very near future.
Mrs Crawshaw “The cottage was what we expected very cosy and warm”
Miss Waite “The cottage was in lovely surroundings and just a short walk to the town.”
Everyone was friendly and helpful. Everywhere was clean and the atmosphere was peaceful.
CherylandRoy “Great place to stay”
Over the past few years we've stayed in quite a few different places in the Peak District. All have been good experiences overall. Tahoe in Tideswell, however, was really good! The house itself is very comfortable, with everything provided that you could possibly need. Indeed, it feels far more like a home than a holiday let. The village too is interesting - not too touristy, good choice of pubs/food, and very friendly locals. Certainly would like to return in the not too distant future!
Natalia “delightful getaway”
lovely cottage & village :) plenty of room for 4 adults & one dog. Big lounge room & separate sunny reading room, open kitchen & quaint garden. Great area with lots to see & do. One day it rained & we visited local caves.
Paula “Pretty cottage”
Very nice cosy cottage with everything you need. The owner was very helpful. Set in a lovely village with lots of amenities..
A FlipKey verified reviewer “Super and well appointed cottage”
Had a really good week in this very well positioned (on the outskirts of Tideswell - which is a small village). Very quiet and picturesque setting. Cottage was very well appointed with everything that you need for a holiday stay and then some. Particularly enjoyed the large selection of climbing and walking books in amongst the large collection of literature available for reading. Didn't need the TV at all! Lovely warm cottage. Didn't need the fire with good heating on a cold and snowy Easter. Nothing to complain about at all.

Wonderful little cottage which had everything we needed to make our stay more than comfortable. The owner was more than helpful and even provided fresh milk, coffee and biscuits on our arrival. Tideswell is a lovely village with good pubs and friendly locals. The walks from the doorstep are a must and we would certainly like to return soon to explore the area further.

A FlipKey verified reviewer “Derbyshire delight”
Tahoe was an ideal place to stay if you are looking for a very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a quiet location yet close to all amenities. You can walk from the door straight into the wonderful Derbyshire countryside and there are plenty of places to visit too. We were warmly welcomed and the neighbours were also friendly. I am loathe to sing its praises too highly as we would love to return again and again but fear it will be fully booked!
