The property

A cute and quirky stable conversion in the centre of the bustling Derbyshire village of Tideswell.

With one bedroom and off road parking, this cosy property is perfect for a romantic break away-from-it-all, with lots of amenities close by.

Step inside and you’ll find an open plan living area with a kitchen boasting granite surfaces and a breakfast bar, the perfect place for tea and toast before a day of adventures.

The beautiful stone floors and exposed beams in this room emphasise the building’s rustic history, whilst the bi-fold door opens out into the patio area where you can enjoy an alfresco dinner with a glass of something cool.

A modern shower room and a double bedroom complete this lovely property.

Outside, there is everything you need for a great holiday within walking distance, including a selection of pubs, restaurants, a butcher and even a bakery, the perfect place to pick up a delicious Derbyshire Bakewell Tart.

For walkers and cyclists, there are fantastic routes upon the limestone uplands surrounding Tideswell, whilst just a little further away you have the Monsal Trail, an excellent traffic-free route through the Peak District National Park.

For a more leisurely pursuit, Tideswell Church, often called the Cathedral of the Peak for its large size and splendid architecture, is well worth a visit, as is Buxton, where you can catch a show at the Opera House, or Castleton, where you can take an underground boat trip inside the famous caverns.

About the location

Buxton 9 miles; Bakewell 9 miles.

The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
