  • "Excellent property in a great location for walking."

Has a shop, cafe and pub within 2 mins or so walk as well. Will definitely be back.

  • "We enjoyed the week and would come again."

The house was great, my only suggestion would be to get the bathrooms warmer but we had decent enough weather so it wasn’t a huge issue.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Heathylee and would definitely return."

Very quiet location with a decent pub for food and drink nearby, and although not on the doorstep of major attractions, Bakewell, Chatsworth, Buxton, Matlock and Alton Towers are all within easy reach. The cottage was very comfortable and we found it far more spacious than it appears from the photos (which don't make it look small).

Great views. Everything there you need. Comfy. No complaints. Tea and milk there for our arrival. Friendly owner. Nice peaceful garden , was lovely to sit out and enjoy the sun.

  • "Overall a really nice cottage and a lovely stay."

The beds were exceptionally warm and comfortable. Each bedroom had a working TV although tall people be wary of low door frames. The kitchen was very well equipped with cutlery, plates, glasses etc and all the appliances were in clean working order. We did find the very small outside bins a slight issue as it was full when we arrived. The downstairs shower room was very handy water pressure and temperature was excellent. The upstairs bathroom extractor fan was very noisy and we found the downstairs toilet door kept jamming which made a very loud echoing noise. The dining room and sitting room were comfortable. The dvd player did not work and we reported this to the owner but got no response. The carparking was a squeeze. Advertised for 3 cars but this seemed unlikely. Nice pub and fish and chip shop in the village and lots of great walks and views in the area. Thank you for our stay.

  • "I can only say Heathylee met expectations as having holidayed with you numerous times before my expectations were high and they were met fully."

Heathylee is a beautiful cottage in exceptionally picturesque countryside. It was very well equipped for all eventualities during my stay and I could not fault the cleanliness. As you can tell I had a faultless week away and would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

  • "Heathylee in Longmor is well located for touring the Peal District."

The cottage was more spacious than we expected, and we found it clean and well appointed for a holiday let. Both access roads were narrow. The higher one was slightly wider but still challenging for our vehicle. (1.85m wide, 2.06m at mirrors). Good parking spot in front of property. There was excellent BT wi-fi, but like much of the Peak District, mobile signals struggled. However, at the property, we had good mobile signals for O2. The TVs in the lounge and all bedrooms were great for our teenage grandchildren! We would also recommend the local Fish and Chip shop (check opening times!) and the popular Royal Oak pub at Hurdlow.

The interior of the house is very well appointed, with an amazingly high open-beam ceiling in the first bedroom. The first floor bathroom and the ground floor shower room are very nicely finished off. The kitchen is well equipped and the dining room and sitting are both very pleasant rooms.

  • "The cottage was excellent, very well kept and very well equipped."

The setting is lovely and there was plenty to entertain the family in the area. The bedrooms were ample in size and the downstairs rooms were comfortable. The owners were very helpful. The setting is very rural in a lovely small village. The nearest reasonably sized town (Buxton) was about 10 minutes away along roads typical of the peak district. The access road into the cottage is very, very narrow with dry stone walls on either size but I did see someone drive a Toyota Hilux along the road. All in all, an excellent holiday.
