  • "We agree with other reviews that HeathyLee is a very clean well equipped property in a peaceful location."

However, it should not be marketed as a 6 person accommodation as the dark 3rd bedroom to the side of the property is unsuitable for 2 adults with a very low beam over one of the beds. A 165cm (5' 5") adult found it hazardous and banged their head several times. The beam is lower than five feet off the ground over the bed. We feel it presents a Health&Safety; issue. The other twin bed in the room has no issues with a beam - therefore HeathyLee is better advertised as a 5 bed property. Another reviewer has commented on the "challenging" nature of the lane leading to the property and perhaps there should be an advisory that large cars, eg, SUV's, large hatchbacks might find it difficult parking, even off- road in front of the property. We liked the village and its amenities and the accessibility to walks surrounding Longnor. We hope this review is taken in the spirit of helpful advice for marketing purposes.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Heathylee, it was a very comfortable property, particularly the beds."

It was nice to know that the owners were on hand should you need them ( but we did not). We were easily able to explore around Longnor and the surrounding areas, and a bonus for dining was the newly opened Cheshire Cheese Pub, this alongside the Chip shop makes Longnor a lovely village to visit. Thank you. G& P N

Very quiet location with a decent pub for food and drink nearby, and although not on the doorstep of major attractions, Bakewell, Chatsworth, Buxton, Matlock and Alton Towers are all within easy reach. The cottage was very comfortable and we found it far more spacious than it appears from the photos (which don't make it look small).

  • "Overall a really nice cottage and a lovely stay."

The beds were exceptionally warm and comfortable. Each bedroom had a working TV although tall people be wary of low door frames. The kitchen was very well equipped with cutlery, plates, glasses etc and all the appliances were in clean working order. We did find the very small outside bins a slight issue as it was full when we arrived. The downstairs shower room was very handy water pressure and temperature was excellent. The upstairs bathroom extractor fan was very noisy and we found the downstairs toilet door kept jamming which made a very loud echoing noise. The dining room and sitting room were comfortable. The dvd player did not work and we reported this to the owner but got no response. The carparking was a squeeze. Advertised for 3 cars but this seemed unlikely. Nice pub and fish and chip shop in the village and lots of great walks and views in the area. Thank you for our stay.

  • "Heathylee in Longmor is well located for touring the Peal District."

The cottage was more spacious than we expected, and we found it clean and well appointed for a holiday let. Both access roads were narrow. The higher one was slightly wider but still challenging for our vehicle. (1.85m wide, 2.06m at mirrors). Good parking spot in front of property. There was excellent BT wi-fi, but like much of the Peak District, mobile signals struggled. However, at the property, we had good mobile signals for O2. The TVs in the lounge and all bedrooms were great for our teenage grandchildren! We would also recommend the local Fish and Chip shop (check opening times!) and the popular Royal Oak pub at Hurdlow.

The setting is lovely and there was plenty to entertain the family in the area. The bedrooms were ample in size and the downstairs rooms were comfortable. The owners were very helpful. The setting is very rural in a lovely small village. The nearest reasonably sized town (Buxton) was about 10 minutes away along roads typical of the peak district. The access road into the cottage is very, very narrow with dry stone walls on either size but I did see someone drive a Toyota Hilux along the road. All in all, an excellent holiday.
