  • “Beautiful cottage in a wonderful ...”
Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location. Some very nice touches such as a bottle of wine left and marked routes on the map for walking. They also had a very helpful folder with local information. Would definitely stay again after a lovely time exploring the peaks around the cottage

The property

Edale 2 miles.

A beautifully presented stone barn conversion on a working farm on the High Peak Estate.

As the Pennine Way passes right by the front door, this is perfect for a couple who love the great outdoors or just looking for a romantic retreat, or both of course!

From the farmyard, you step into a modernised farmhouse style kitchen diner.

There’s also a shower room on the ground floor.

Upstairs the stylishly furnished sitting room with beams and exposed stone is the perfect place to snuggle up on the sofa and enjoy the breathtaking Dark Peak scenery through the full height window.

Beyond the sitting room is an equally stylishly finished en-suite bedroom.

There’s an enclosed courtyard great for sitting out and having a sip of what you fancy and watching the envious walkers pass by.

Right from the kitchen door, you could choose a leisurely valley bottom stroll/ride or a challenging route onto Kinder Plateau via Crowden Clough or Jacob's Ladder.

If you fancy a complete change of scene, there’s a mainline train station just 2 miles away with regular trains to Manchester and Sheffield.

Something for everyone whenever you go.
