"Just a few minor things, we struggled to get WiFi connection before realising that the password displayed on the laminated sheet in the kitchen is different to that on the actual router!"
It's only one digit (a T that should be a 7), I advised the cleaning lady/keyholder via phone upon departure.
It would be helpful if there was a folder containing all the information required instead of laminated sheets pinned around the building, this could also contain all the local maps, leaflets etc.
The heating came on every morning notwithstanding how hot the building was, this seems such a waste as we had most of the windows open. I didn't want to mess about with the settings in case i caused a different problem?
Having said all the above we would willingly return and would recommend any of our friends and family likewise.

Also the duvet is very thick and might be a bit too warm in high summer - is there a thinner / lower TOG alternative in the wardrobe?

"Lovely cosy cottage, perfect for a family break - great location in cromford near to lots of great attractions and countryside, well equipped, everything worked perfectly and to a high standard."
Nice touches like interesting art, record player and records, and useful books including a Camra pub walks book which came in very handy in navigating the local area! A very comfortable home from home. Our 9 year old loved having a TV in each bedroom, the master bedroom was very peaceful and the kitchen and living room were both great to cook eat and relax in.

Cottage was well equiped, the only comment (not criticism!!) is that there was limited space to store groceries in the kitchen - otherwise a lovely place to stay.

"The cottage was lovely and warm on arrival."
Everything was clearly explained in different notes around the cottage, such as where the central heating controls were and day of the bin collection.
There were a few downsides:
The water in the shower did not get very hot.
The double bed was actually two single mattresses joined together, causing a hard and uncomfortable line down the middle of the bed.
The garden is a walk down the street and up the side, it's a bit of a climb uphill, but the view you get when you get there makes it worth it.
The area itself is very picturesque and has plenty to do, we found the cottage to be quite noisy as the surrounding roads are busy, and there was works being done next door all week as well.
Parking wasn't easy, as it was a busy week in the area we struggled to get a parking spot, and the free car park at the bottom of the street was always full.
We really enjoyed our stay, there are loads of walks on the doorstep, the pond across the road is nice, and there are some lovely shops and restaurants within a stone's throw of the cottage.

"We had a great stay in this Cromford cottage."
The cottage is in a good location and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is an old cottage and the owners have clearly tried to keep the ‘old cottage quaintness’ which does mean that if contemporary and mod cons are your thing then this cottage could disappoint (I.e it’s not all beautifully plastered, with modern double glazing windows, 60” TVs and Alexa etc). But if you’re wanting a comfortable stay in a traditional Peak District cottage that’s in a great location then it’s perfect for up to 5 of you.
Parking is limited outside the cottage, although we got parked there 50% of the time. There is a free car park 2 minutes walk away; so it’s not really a problem.
Don’t miss the garden, it’s weird being so far away (it’s completely disconnected from the cottage, about a 2-3 minute walk away) but is lovely and has great views.
The Boat Inn, The Greyhound, The Tapas Bar (my favourite, it actually felt like you were in a Spanish eatery) and Parkys are all great places to eat. The general store and butchers on the Main Street are also very good.

"We would definitely recommend the Post Office cottage."
Good space for a family of four and nicely maintained. The kitchen is small but well stocked with almost every utensil you can imagine. It’s in a good location to visit the Peak District with a nice pub opposite and a fantastic fish and chip shop nearby - we took ours to the little garden and ate them on the evening sun. The owners were lovely when we spoke on the phone and were very helpful. Parking wasn’t really an issue as we got a space on the street but if you didn’t it wouldn’t be more than a 5 minute walk away. A very enjoyable week!

"I think it should be noted in the description that the 3rd child’s bed does not fit in the 2nd bedroom so they have to sleep in the master bedroom."
A top sheet on the beds or a lighter bedspread would have been really helpful - it was very hot at night but we only had a thick winter quilt on the bed.
Overall it was a lovely cottage on a lovely street, we enjoyed staying there. Pat was fantastic, whenever I called her she picked up and was very helpful answering questions.

"We have stayed in this cottage before so we knew what to expect."
Parking a little bit more difficult this time so would often have to park elsewhere and wait for a spot near by to become available.
We didn't use the garden at all...the children would have played in it all the time, if we could see them from the house. We knew this was the case, but it is a shame that this cottage doesn't have a garden near the house.

"Post office cottages was a lovely little escape for a quiet new year."
I was a little worried on the first night as the pub opposite was very noisy and the downstairs is really very small for 4 people but we really enjoyed the stay. The noisyness at the pub was a one off and we enjoyed a drink and food in the Boat! The upstairs king size bed is very comfortable! Cromford is an interesting village which we grew to love.
The cottage is advertised as having a bike store. This is one of the reasons we booked it. Unfortunately it’s a small shed with quite a bit in it already. You wouldn’t be able to fit 4 adult bikes in it ( we just managed 2 adult and 2 children bikes but it was a squeeze).
The cottage is on a very narrow road which has regular traffic so you need to be aware with children. Parking is on the street and not always possible so you might need to park in the village car park (which is just around the corner), but again pre warning of this is useful as you might not be able to unload outside the cottage.

"The check-in process was confusing, we couldn’t get in the cottage for about 30-40 minutes, waiting outside with 2 bored kids when it was cold and dark."
Ended up ringing customer service and they sorted it out rather quickly.
But it was worth the wait. The cottage was just amazing, warm and full of character. Absolutely loved it. It was very clean and freshly renovated (though apparently it was refurbished a few years ago, but looked like a few weeks ago). It has got everything you need for a comfortable stay, plus lots of unique features like record player with lots of records to choose, lovely walk in shower, quite a few board games, some antique things that kids loved investigating. Just brilliant! Totally recommend!

"Amazing selection of books and a proper record player with some excellent record choices."
Waking up to T. rex and the 'difficult 3rd album' started off the day well. The pub across the road 'The Boatman' did not disturb us and was excellent, the nights we spent in there chatting with locals were a highlight, my 9 year old daughter loved it as they spoilt her rotten, quiz night was fun; we lost but had a lot of fun doing so. House facilities go above and beyond expectations. So many cooking utensils, comfy seats and washing and cooking facilities. Duvets were very warm especially as it was lovely weather but beds were comfy.
