Smithy And Weir Cottages On The Mill Pond

Imagine tucking into breakfast as just a few feet away, swans glide by and beautiful birdsong is underscored by the sound of cascading water. You’ve heard there’s a kingfisher which can often be spotted diving for fish, so perhaps you might stay put and try your luck? Perhaps you fancy exploring some industrial heritage, then have a coffee and cake at that deli, or maybe a bite to eat and a meander through a lovely bookshop? In the evening do you fancy a restaurant, a bit of pub grub and a real ale, or a bit of tapas with a glass of something to match? Everything described thus far is within 400 yards of this delightful pair of cottages in Cromford village. Imagine the endless possibilities if you venture further afield. With tastefully-finished bedrooms with views over the mill pond, the cottages on the Mill Pond are perfect for couples, small groups or a family. The boutique-style open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting areas are lovely sociable spaces with lots of light flooding in through French windows. Immediately outside is the bank of Cromford Mill Pond and a small weir, where sometimes leaping fish can be seen. These cottages are a superb base for everything the Peak District has to offer, and every season can be enjoyed to the full.
