A delightful limestone cottage in an elevated position with excellent views on the outskirts of the rural village of Wardlow, close to Tideswell.
This lovely cottage is perfectly placed for families or groups of friends to enjoy the very best that the Peak District National Park has to offer.
On entering the cottage, you will notice the character features of the cottage throughout, including the original beams and the original stone walling in the sitting room as well as the wonderful countryside views from all aspects of the property.
There is a ground floor bedroom with a shower room opposite which can be good for the less mobile in the party.
The hallway leads into a modernised farmhouse-style kitchen with a good-sized dining table and chairs, making a great social place to prepare and enjoy some lovely home-cooked meals.
The large sitting room has plenty of comfy sofas in front of a welcoming woodburner, making a wonderful place to relax in front of after a full day out and about exploring the area.
The sitting room does have a small area at one end with plenty of window seats, making a great place to relax for some quiet time.
Upstairs are a further three bedrooms with excellent views of the countryside.
One of the bedrooms has an en-suite shower room as well as a separate bathroom to give extra flexibility.
To the outside is a large enclosed lawned garden; a great place for the kids and your four-legged friends to let off some steam.
There is a patio area which makes a good place for some alfresco dining or just a relax with a glass of something chilled.
There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities from the doorstep with the cottage being close to the Monsal Trail which then leads to the Monsal Head itself.
A short drive takes you to the village of Tideswell which has many fine country inns and a good range of shops to enjoy.
Again there are excellent walking opportunities with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village.
The cottage has easy access to the popular Spa town of Buxton with the pretty little market town of Bakewell also being just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
With fantastic walks, rides, and tourist attractions all within easy reach, this is a cottage which can offer a superb holiday at any time of year.

The village of Tideswell stands in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Famous for its fine church dedicated to St John the Baptist, known as "The Cathedral of the Peak", the village is also noted for its well dressing and carnival wakes. There is excellent walking with rugged peaks to the north, gentle hills and dales to the south and Millers Dale just outside the village. Mam Tor and Castleton are only a few miles away and the popular Spa town of Buxton is within a 15 minute drive. Tideswell has many fine country inns, a chemist, butchers, bakers and much more including a convenient supermarket open daily until 10pm. The pretty little market town of Bakewell is also just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
