“This cottage is small but perfectly formed!”

It's in a lovely part of Sheffield with lots of interesting walks very close by and easy access to the Peak District and to the city. The garden is now fully enclosed and safe for dogs. Mrs Hartley is friendly and helpful and has equipped the cottage thoughtfully and to a high standard.

The property

This delightful cottage is set in Whirlow, a most desirable area of the city of Sheffield, on the edge of the Peak District and is ideal for couple who wish to discover this wonderful city.

This lovely one bedroom retreat is versatile, offering a king-size bed, which converts into two small single beds, and an en-suite shower room.

The living space is all open plan including comfortable seating, a large dining table and a very well-equipped kitchen, just the ticket for relaxed living.

The French window opens onto a raised and decked patio with table and chairs, perfect for alfresco dining or enjoying a refreshing drink after a busy day exploring the area.

Highly recommended and just a stone's throw from the property is Whirlow Hall Farm which offers guided tours and provides a real farm experience for everyone.

The farm shop has a superb selection of foods to tempt most palates for you to cook a delicious meal back at your cottage, or sample great food at the farm's cafe.

The superb location provides lots of choice for days out and not necessarily by car.

There is a bus stop outside the cottage which takes you into the city or the countryside, the choice is yours.

Imagine visiting the theatre during the evening and rock climbing the day after!

Walking from this pretty cottage will take you into Ecclesall Woods, the Limb Valley and Mayfield Valley in no time at all.

The area is very popular with cyclists, both on road and mountain bikes, so make sure that you bring your bike!

The Peak District National Park is close enough to provide a vast choice of activities for absolutely everyone, whatever their ability.

The iconic Chatsworth House and gardens, known as the Palace of the Peak, is an absolute must, whatever time of the year.

The Peak District offers an impressive landscape of rocky edges and amazing plateaus and offers superb walking within the wild heather-clad moors as well as the charming villages of Hathersage, Baslow, Castleton and Bakewell.
