  • "Had a lovely time at Beechcroft."

It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Our little dog loved visiting the many parks in the local area. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Rising Sun which is within walking distance. Whirlow Park farm was within walking distance too and has a lovely cafe. Visited Bakewell market on Monday which was very enjoyable. Went to a local retail park too. Had a busy week sightseeing. And we would love to come back soon. Thank you so much

  • "The cottage was perfect in every way."

Our daughter was having her wedding reception at Whirlow Farm Trust, just up the road. Our location could not have been better. We drove to Baslow Nether (but could've chosen other stops) and took the Peak Open Top Sightseer bus, which was great fun. On Monday we drove into Bakewell, which was market day - we could witness the livestock market, plus buy from food and craft stalls. A bus takes you into Sheffield, and we recommend Kelham Island Heritage Museum. A relaxing holiday in great accommodation.

Thank you for your lovely comments, I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and had a lovely time in the local area. We hope you will be back! Property Owner

  • "Very warm cosy cottage, ideal for walks from the door or a short drive into Derbyshire."

This cottage is ok for a short term stay, we were there for four weeks visiting from Australia but would not recommend long term. Kitchen was compact and reasonably equipped, but some utensils could do with replacing. Cold tap in kitchen needs attention. Not enough electrical sockets for appliances in living area, had to keep unplugging radio to put light on ! A mirror in the hallway is a must. Bathroom layout is very unusual with toilet so close to the wall in front. Utility is actually the owners garage with a car inside most days. It does mention some road noise and we found this to be a very busy road at all times of the day. This holiday let is good value bearing in mind you are in a built up suburban area close to the countryside and local amenities.
