Well equipped kitchen and all very clean. Very comfy bed, slept SO well! Good location for Stoke and all its surrounding areas. Thank you

  • "This cottage was booked by my daughter as a ruby wedding anniversary present."

She was guided by the description on the website and rented it based on this information. The cottage was exceptionally clean and of a very high standard. The space is outstanding and it is so peaceful and quiet. It's location gives relatively easy access to the main areas. We were greeted by the owner who was very pleasant indeed. The pubs in the village are ideal for meals both tasty and reasonably priced. The whole stay was totally relaxing and I would certainly recommend this property.

The cottage was lovely, well equipped, very comfortable and in a stunning spot. It was a credit to it’s owners and we would definitely book it again.

  • "This was among the best self-catering accommodation we have had the pleasure to occupy."

The high quality of simple things, such as the crockery and cooking utensils, typified the facilities of this delightful cottage for two. As it so happened, the weather was marvellous all week and in the evenings we were able to sit out on the patio, using the loungers provided; but there's no doubt we could have been very cosy there in the depths of winter. Excellent value for money, too.

  • "The holiday accommodation we booked through Sykes was excellent as was its location."

However, it is unlikely we will use Sykes again as ever since booking we have been bombarded with Sykes adverts on almost all websites we have visited since. This is overkill to the extreme.

The weather was also fantastic over our stay, this will definitely be a place I will return to without hesitation, highly recommended

  • "The Lavender House is a very spacious and comfortable property, it's quiet and peaceful enough to just sit and relax or reflect, indoors and out but not too far from anything if you're doing the "sites"."

If you're lucky enough to have the sun during your stay it's on the patio all day into early evening. The cottage (and kitchen in particular) is well stocked with everything you could want - and what you don't realise you require! Crockery, utensils, linens etc are all excellent quality and the place is very clean and clearly proudly looked after. For those it matters to the wi-fi is excellent, there are ample electrical sockets in all rooms and plenty of coat hangers! Key collection and return was easy and done on property. A very comfortable place to stay, at a more than reasonable price. The photos and description although accurate do not do it the justice it deserves! I definitely recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate to return.

  • "A lovely quiet location in the countryside with far reaching views towards Cannock Chase, but an easy drive or 15 minute walk to Yoxall with pubs and a supermarket."

The cottage itself is extremely comfortable and has everything you need for a short or long stay whatever the season. I highly recommend this holiday home.

  • "Great cottage, sleeps 2 however with a sofa bed in the lounge there is room to sleep up to 4."

The cottage is very well designed and has a very large roomy living area. Bathroom is very well appointed, bath and separate shower is great, sky light means you can look at the stars whilst in the bath. Kitchen is a little small, however has extra room in the utility and an extra sink too. Kitchen has all you need to cook a Sunday roast. Wood burner is great and wood supplied by the owners. One down side, there are only 2 small 2 seater sofas. A large, long sofa to curl up on together would make this the perfect romantic cottage. A stay in this cottage will not disappoint.

  • "Lavender House was absolutely stunning."

Beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable. This is without doubt the best cottage ever! The setting close to Needwood cottage was delightful. We have no complaints. The village was attractive and we enjoyed our visits to Litchfield which was convenient. To conclude - the best ever. Sandra and Tom Spirling
