  • "Lovely comfortable cottage."

Modern and perfect for my husband who is disabled. Lovely views of the harbour. Only thing was we were unable to get down to the beach which was right in front the cottage as it had steps. Not a big deal for us though.

  • "Shore View is a lovely cottage with lovely sea views and is will equipped."

It would have been better if it stated it is right next to a pub which got quite noisy on a few nights. The cottage has extremely bright spot lights in the inside and could do with having a lamp as it was too bright (my opinion) and would have preferred it to have a washing machine. All in all i had a lovely time and Kinghorn is a beautiful wee village.

Exceptionally well equipped. Communication excellent. Couldn't wish for more. The welcoming prosecco and chocolate was a lovely touch.

  • "The cottage itself was well appointed and comfortable."

However, the close proximity of the public house did cause us concern especially on arrival when the music was very loud . There was no mention of this in the property description so perhaps it should be added.

  • "The owners were brilliant, gave us very clear directions to find the property."

When we arrived there was a nice bottle of prosecco with some chocolates. We were provided with all the stuff we'd need for cleaning dishes surfaces etc which you often don't get at other properties which was great as it meant we didn't have to go and buy anything on our first day we could just get on with our holiday. The beach is barely a five minute walk from the house so we got to spend lots of time lounging about on the beach and could go whenever we felt like. It's a shame they are no longer allowing dogs as we would have loved to come back.

Everything was new and clean. Even saw a whale from the cliff top in front of the cottage.

The shower needs plunging as the water doesn’t go down that well. The water kept coming out onto the floor. But you have a lovely place. Thank you

Thanks for letting us know about shower waste , it has now been rectified and appreciate your comments on our lovely Cottage Property Owner

  • "PERFECT I have just returned from a fortnight at Shore View (although I had booked the property for a fortnight to get some work done I intend to return at some point this year for a holiday)."

The cottage was modern, warm, clean and very comfortable. The wi-fi connection was solid (I worked from here, including zoom meetings, all with no problems). What is brilliant about the cottage (apart from the obvious sea views) is how near EVERYTHING is, my car was hardly used the two weeks I was there. The beach is a short stroll down the street, the train station is across the road (45 minute direct train into centre of Edinburgh if you want to throw in a city break to your beach holiday) there is a restaurant and a pub (with outdoor seating area looking out to the sea) right next door (so no worrying who can't drink and has to do the driving) – have a meal, a drink watch the footie then just cross the path and your home. There is a corner shop at the other side of the cottages and a few yards further down the street a well stocked co-op shop. The cottage sits just behind the Fife Coastal Path, which is a well marked and busy path, that goes for miles along the coast. It really is a perfect little holiday spot!
