  • "It is very rare that we find a holiday cottage that meets every expectation but this cottage did exactly that."

It was spotless, warm, close to many places and quiet in the evening. A gem of a place, full marks to the owners. This place is now on our favourites list and we’ll be coming back again without a doubt.

Thank you so very much for your kind comments. We are so pleased you felt at home and enjoyed your stay so much. We have aimed to make Glebe Cottage (Number 6) a real home from home and so are delighted to hear you felt that. Looking forward to hosting you again in the future. Property Owner

  • "This property was very well equipped - in kitchen, sitting room, bedrooms and bathrooms."

The only issue we had was with lighting the gas hob and it would have been very helpful to have been forewarned of need to use lighter or matches. That aside, everything was as described and the accommodation was easy to settle into with excellent wifi and good parking. The local Tavern was a bonus - very welcoming, close to hand and very good food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for booking with us. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and the Tavern at the top of the road. As we explained when answering your text to us, the gas hob operates with the easy use electric click lighter provided and stored in the drawer beside the hob. We find most guests prefer this rather than using matches but both work the same. We do hope you will return to the area and chose to stay with us again. Property Owner

The house is immaculately clean and comfortable with safe and easy parking. The owners went to the trouble of leaving us a wedding card and gift. Lovely and thoughtful touch. Highly recommended.

Congratulations again on your wedding! We are so pleased to hear all went well and you enjoyed your stay with us at Number 6. We hope to see you back again on your anniversary. Property Owner

Nowhere to walk as you leave, have to drive to walk beach 2. No shops nearby for milk bread etc 3. Garden could be made to enjoy - very basic

Thank you for staying with us at Number 6. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the house comfortable and well equipped. We have put a lot of thought into all the things guests would like to enjoy when they are staying and have aimed to make it a “home away from home”. We have also included in the description of the house, where we are located which for many is an attraction in itself, so close to St Andrews, but also in a quiet area. Property Owner

An absolute find, the house is within a beautiful quiet residential area with private parking, the house itself can not be faulted in any way, spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated, 10 out of 10 all day long

  • "Well-equipped house."

Quite recently built. Nicely furnished. Very handy for St Andrews, in a quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of off-road parking. Would benefit from some hanging space for coats.

  • "We only had a few minor quibbles about the property and parking."

We weren't sure what day we needed to pull out the various bins for collection. Although it stated that there were two parking places available we were unsure whether someone would park in the Visitor slot when we returned (we did have two cars). It would have been more convenient to have hooks on the back of the bathroom and bedroom doors to hang dressing gowns.

Thanks very much for staying in our new house. The visitor spaces are readily available for the small number of houses around us and so there is always one free for our property to use for parking a second car. We will make this clearer in the welcome notes. Thanks for pointing it out. We had decided not to put hooks on the lovely wooden bedroom doors as the wardrobes are so close which have hangers provided inside. The link in your welcome note should have explained the bin days. We appreciate that with so much recycling asked of us by the local council, it can be confusing! We hope you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

Situation of the house was good for visiting the local area and liked that the home owners contacted us directly offering support with anything if it was needed. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • "The holiday was lovely."

Only a recommendation about a high chair and travel cot for travelling families we feel would be beneficial.

Thanks very much for staying with us. As our welcome pack in the house explains, this is a brand new property which we have just bought and furnished from scratch and so we are keen to hear of any items which we have not provided which guests may like. Thank you for your feedback! Property Owner
