  • "The property was extremely tired."

    The bedrooms, hall & bathroom are all needing attention. Flooring uneven and skirtings poor attempt to fill in gaps. General smell of dampness in the property when you open the door. Needs a bath Matt The location was excellent but we would not return and I feel it was overpriced due to the fabric of the property

    Bulbs not working in kitchen. Lack of second beside table in Kingsize bedroom. Entrance to building shabby but apartment itself very clean and comfortable although seating could be better

    The flat requires some general maintenance in particular broken tiles on bathroom floor. In general a well equipped and clean apartment.

  • "This property was not fit for purpose."

    The damp in the property was clear to the eye and nose and the property was not clean! To top off this terrible experience the 'customer care' we have received from Sykes has been terrible and my numerous emails to you have gone ignored. AWFUL AWFUL service which has left me out of pocket and exhausted by the whole experience and working as a nurse Sykes are responsible for ruining the only weekend I have had off with my family this year by providing less than acceptable accommodation and customer service.

  • "The flat was clean and tidy."

    great location, only downside was parking but that can't be helped. the sofa could have been a bit more comfortable but that is personal perference & maybe lower the mirror in the bedroom, was difficult to dry my hair when I couldn't see myself :)

Lying at the heart of the traditional Scottish market town of Crieff, is this attractive apartment, Meadowgate.

Sitting between Perth and Crianlarich, the popular tourist town of Crieff lies on the geological fault line where the Lowlands meet the Highlands. Originally a hub for cattle drovers between the 16th and 18th centuries, Crieff expanded due to its location and as a meeting place for the cattle business to meet the demands of an increasing Lowlands population. Due to the nature of these meetings or trysts, Crieff developed into a ‘frontier town’ with its reputation for punishment by hanging spreading throughout Europe, and the remains of the gallows can be seen in Perth Museum. Most of Crieff was burned down in 1716 by Highlanders returning demoralised from the Battle of Sheriffmuir and the current town layout was conceived by James Drummond, 3rd Duke of Perth in 1731. Indeed it was Drummond who prevented a further burning since he was a supporter of the Jacobite Rebellion. Bonnie Prince Charlie and his army stayed in the town in 1746 and held meetings in the Drummond Arms Inn in the town centre. Drummond Castle is close to Crieff and its spectacular gardens are open to the public. Today, Crieff is a popular and bustling tourist town with many attractions, including the Caithness Glass Visitor Centre and Glenturret Distillery with its Famous Grouse Experience. The leisure centre provides opportunity for swimming, squash and the gym, or head to Crieff Hydro for more activities or spa facilities. Explore the stunning scenery at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, or enjoy a round of golf at Crieff Golf Club or the nine hole course at nearby Comrie.
