The property

Resting in the heart of Scotland, tucked on the outskirts of vibrant Pitlochry, is this luxurious, architect designed, and superbly appointed, detached eco-property, called “Balvaig”.

The property has been specifically designed around the breathtaking views of the Tummel Valley.

The natural colour palette and clean lines give an instant warm, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

The location of the property means it is ideally placed for either a relaxing trip away in the highlands or an action-packed adventure, with the local area boasting an abundance of rolling mountain peaks, rivers and lakes for a fabulous range of outdoor activities, as well as superb restaurants, pubs, distilleries (all within walking distance), something to suit all tastes.

The all ground floor accommodation is kitted out to a very high standard, attracting discerning guests looking for something special.

The interior décor is contemporary, comfortable and cosy with designer coffee tables, sideboards and dining furniture that give a sense of class.

There is a Sonos sound system in the impressive double height vaulted living area and in the kitchen, you’ll find everything you’ll need (including range cooker and coffee maker).

There is underfloor heating throughout, provided by an eco-friendly ground source heat pump.

However, what could be more romantic than cuddling up in front of the wood burning stove on a cold winter’s evening?

In the bedrooms the luxurious theme continues with top of the range crisp white Italian bed linen, cosy bath robes, indulgent toiletries and soft fluffy towels, provided in each of the four elegantly-presented bedrooms (two king-size, one each double and single, and a snug with a double sofa bed for an extra person to sleep if needed).

The open-plan living space boasts patio doors, allowing for alfresco dining which seamlessly blends the beautiful outside surroundings with the inside.

The property is not overlooked, and the sense of privacy, peace and light is overwhelming.

If you can tear yourself away from this wonderful hideaway, head into Pitlochry where you will be spoilt for choice by the eateries that await you, including cafés, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, offering something for all tastes and budgets.

Pitlochry contains a good range of local amenities including a supermarket, bank, independent shops and train station, and is also home to the famous Pitlochry festival theatre.

Within easy walking distance (0.5 mile) of the property is the historic village of Moulin with its heritage centre and popular Moulin Hotel Bar, welcoming visitors and locals alike for pub meals and locally brewed ales.

If you fancy a decent walk you’ll find a number of paths within the local area which allow you to stride out from the doorstep, including; Loch Faskally, Ben y Vrackie, and Black Spout to name but a few, with many more good walks only a short drive away.

If you fancy a walk with a different purpose, just stroll along the lane to the Edradour Distillery and Visitor Centre; less than a mile away and you’ll be glad you didn’t drive so you can indulge in a whisky tasting or two before returning home.

If you are bringing your bike along, the Pitlochry area is nationally recognised as one of the UK's top locations for road biking and mountain biking, each offering panoramic views and diverse wildlife to enjoy along the way.

For those feeling slightly more adventurous, there are plenty of extreme sports of the menu including White Water Rafting on the River Tay and Canyoning in the Falls of Bruar.

Other excellent attractions within the local area include; fishing, many excellent golf courses, historic castles, the Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre, the Enchanted Forest (October) and a variety of wonderful gardens to visit.
