"Wonderful place, great location, very cosy, well equipped."
Lovely hosts. Would highly recommend.
"Wonderful place, very central for visiting any places (or family)."
We were welcomed by the owners (and doggy) in such a friendly way. Immediately a feel-at-home property that made us want to stay forever! Everything was available and all top quality. The beautiful accommodation was in perfect order. The property gives the feeling of being in the middle of 'nowhere' but with easy connection to villages, towns and more. I'd say this is an outstanding site and well worth a visit. (I just hope that not too many people read this and take up all the available weeks for their holiday, so there will be some left for us next time we can come over for a visit!)
"A lovely comfortable,well-equipped cottage in a really beautiful setting."
It's a great base for visiting central Scotland and the owners are charming.
"Maisie's Cottage is a lovely, cosy cottage which sits deep within the beautiful Kippenross estate."
Very peaceful & relaxing location surrounded by huge trees with the picturesque River Allan running nearby. We visited Stirling (6 miles away) which has an amazing castle & the Old Town Jail with a terrific actor who brought the jail visit to life. We did a walking tour of Stirling old town which was super interesting. Also would recommend a visit to Glasgow which was an easy train ride (40 mins) from Dunblane station. Outside the Queen St station, Glasgow, jump on the Hop On Hop Off sighting seeing bus. You can ride all day & jump off at the various spots on route & then jump back on.
"What a wonderful place to stay."
Surroundings stunning, cottage immaculate, everything you need for a great getaway. If you love history, you'll love Maisie's Cottage and Kippenross. What lovely, helpful hosts as well....made you feel very welcome but discreet at the same time. We really didn't want to leave and I thought about taking up Squatters Rights in order to stay but it just felt wrong. Can't believe how lucky we were finding it.
"Patrick Susan & Lucinda we’re really friendly and helpful A Lovley welcome from them on arrival."
A beautiful little cottage in a tranquil area
"Lovely cottage in great surroundings."
Owner friendly and welcoming. On my early morning walk I saw a red squirrel on three mornings out of 4. Great location for roaming about.
"A comfortable secluded retreat, highly recommended."
"We had a fantastic stay at Maisie's Cottage - The owners greeted us on arrival, during the stay and when we departed."
The cottage provides great privacy with plenty of room for everything. They have thought of it all! Right down to the final touches (fresh flowers). The cottage was clean, comfortable and set in a beautiful location just south of Dunblane and a few minutes drive to Stirling which has all the shops/food places you need. The walks around the groud were truly breathtaking. Just a 15 min walk to the train station which have great train links into Edinburgh/Glasgow. We highly recommend this place to stay! 10/10
"The Perfect Getaway!"
We loved Maisie's cottage. Highly recommended. Peaceful with interesting birds, trees, and long walks. Close to historical Dunblane and nearby Stirling. Good rail and road links to all major cities.
"We loved Maisie's Cottage."

A peaceful location, lovely walks, and interesting birds and trees. Also close to Dunblane, Bridge of Allan, and train links to all major cities. The perfect getaway!
"Fantastic time away at Maisie's Cottage."
Beautiful surroundings, comfy and cosy cottage that is well resourced. Owners made us feel very welcome.
"Maisie's cottage is exactly as described on the site."
A great getaway for a tranquil holiday set within beautiful surroundings but also an accessible distance for many tourist attractions and half an hour from Glasgow and an hour from Edinburgh. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The cottage itself has everything you need, the reason I have given 4 out of 5 for comfort is that the bed is not as comfotable as our own - personal preference - and that the spiral staircase, as described in the advert, is not as easy to use as straight stairs. Two minor points that didn't detract from our wonderful stay. Thank you for making us so welcome.
Very nice owners. Extremely well equipped. Beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable stay.
"We found the cottage met our needs in every way."
It was restful - peaceful..... in fact idyllic. Set in beautiful grounds (acres) with a river on the estate - we even spotted deers roaming the location. The cottage itself was central to be able to visit Stirling and the Trossachs. The property owners were very pleasant and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.
"This property was magnificent!"
It was the perfect location for our stay, it was clean the place was immaculate! The location was private and quiet and very peaceful. We could walk down to the river whcih was beautiful The hosts were amazing and told us all of the places we could visit. The only thing we struggled with was the comfort of the bed it was quite hard to sleep on but everything else was fantastic
"Hi. The property was lovely."
The owner Susan greeted us on arrival day with truffles her dog. She seemed a very nice lady. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend this to anyone. George
"Lovely private location, friendly hosts, well provisioned inside, good value for peaceful stay."
Only downside was rather uncomfortable sofa bed in lounge as main sofa. Care needed with metal spiral staircase especially for tall people, with tight access in kitchen.
"Lovely cottage with all the facilities you need"
"This is the perfect base for visiting central Scotland."
Maisie’s Cottage has everything you need and is just so cosy. The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We will be back.
"Excellent accommodation in a lovely setting."
This was a late booking made just before Christmas and the communication from the owners was excellent. Friendly hosts and a very well equipped cottage. Lots of space, good wi-fi, and well heated. Close enough to Dunblane to walk in, but far enough out to feel isolated. There are lots of lovely walks around the estate and the cottage is well located for more adventurous excursions!
"What a find this place is."
Nestled on a beautiful estate, it feels like it is in the middle of nowhere and yet it is within walking distance of Dunblane and a short drive to Stirling. Hosts Susan, Patrick, Lucinda, and their pooch, were a delight, and only too willing to help if I had any questions, like where to go walking in the local area. The cottage has been really lovingly set up and I was really able to relax during my stay. I will certainly go again as there is so much to see and do in and around the area and slightly further afield. What an adventure I had as storm Arwen hit while I was staying there and trees came down. It was lovely to be able to help Malcolm, the tree surgeon and other people from the estate, to help clear them.
"My wife and I had a fantastic week at Marie’s Cottage ,fitted out to a very high spec , the owners were very friendly and approachable, Maisie’s Cottage is set in a large estate very peaceful ,quiet and relaxing close to Dunblane and access’s to surrounding area ,would recommend excellent value for money ."

Beautiful cottage set in idyllic surroundings,we had a warm welcome from the owners who were at hand should any problems arise, also offered information on the local area,we would recommend Maisie's Cottage to our family and friends
"The cottage is set in a lovely secluded, picturesque area; is well equipped and warm, and the bed is extremely comfortable."
The only thing we were concerned about was the spiral staircase at night, as the bathroom is downstairs, although we did get used to it. There were lots of birds in the grounds, and we also spotted deer and a red squirrel. Susan, Patrick and Lucinda were very friendly and helpful, thank you. We hope to stay again. Ann & Derek
"A loverly cottage in fantastic surroundings and great hosts x"

Location is very central for travel north, west to beautiful countryside especially the lochs.
"The cottage met all are needs and expectations, the owners were very helpful."
The cottage was in private grounds, so no worries about parking. All the facilities worked e.g Washer, Dish Washer and WiFi. I would recommend this for any couple wishing to get away.
"We had a fantastic time at this amazing cottage."
The photos really don’t do it justice. Everything was first class from the peaceful countryside location, the excellent quality of the furnishings and fittings, all the extras provided, to the friendliness of the owners and their keenness to make sure we were well looked after. We would highly recommend to family and friends and definitely plant to go back ourselves very soon.

The friendly & helpful owners went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our week. Would highly recommend.

Lovely experience. I was very surprised to see every little thing in the kitchen to use! ( most places that we stayed in before never had soap, bin bags etc). Highly recommend

Resting in a tranquil location surrounded by woodland, at Kippenross near Dunblane, is Maisie's Cottage, a charming annexe attached to the owner's home, ideal for a couple wanting to enjoy some quality time together in the peaceful Scottish countryside.
Accessed via a private drive and through the owner's courtyard, parking is available on the gated driveway.
As you make your way to the property, you can take in the pretty river view and the air of tranquility.
Next door is an outbuilding that the owner uses as an office, but there is plenty of space at the front - From there, you can walk straight out into the Kippenross woods and enjoy lovely walks along the banks of Allan Water.
Alternatively you may choose to stroll beside the river in open parkland which is planted with mature specimen trees; Salmon fishing is available by separate agreement with the owner.
Step inside the property and remove coats and shoes in the designated space in the hallway, before moving into the neutrally styled, bright kitchen, fully equipped with all of the appliances you will need to create delicious home-cooked meals, including a dishwasher to take care of any washing up.
Care should be taken at the other entrance point to the kitchen, beside the spiral staircase that leads to the first floor, as there is some restricted head height in this area.
Enjoy meals together at the dining table in the living/dining room, before retiring to the sofa to enjoy a movie night, with the selection of books and games sure to provide hours of entertainment.
Prepare for the day ahead in the stylish bathroom, which offers a shower over bath, cosy heated towel rail and light up mirror for added convenience.
When it's time to catch up on rest, head up the spiral staircase from the kitchen to the charming double bedroom, with a sloping ceiling and rooflight windows, showcasing the picturesque countryside views.

From here, you can easily access picturesque walking trails through the Ochil Hills, while the magnificent Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park is ten miles away, offering walking, cycling and climbing opportunities through mountains and along rivers.
With so much opportunity to explore from your doorstep, make Maisie's Cottage the base for your next Scottish getaway with your loved one.

About the location
Stirling 5.9 miles; Perth 28.5 miles; Edinburgh 41.6 miles; Glasgow 31.3 miles
Dunblane is a small cathedral town situated six miles north of Stirling just off the A9 road which has been bypassed since 1991. Its main landmark is Dunblane Cathedral and the Allan Water runs through the town centre, with the Cathedral and the High Street on the east side. The nearby Victorian spa town of Bridge of Allan three miles away is a former spa town at the foot of the Ochil Hills near Stirling. It is named after the Allan Water, which flows through the town and on into the River Forth. With a history dating back to the Iron Age, the village formed in the 16th century when the ford was replaced by a stone bridge and mining of copper, silver and gold took place in the hills above. Today, the main street bears Alexander Henderson’s name and the town is prosperous and home to Stirling University, a golf club and many shops and restaurants. So much of central Scotland is within easy reach of Dunblane, and it has good road and rail links to Glasgow, Edinburgh and St Andrews. The beautiful scenery of this area makes it a haven for walkers, cyclists, anglers and nature lovers, and golfers are especially well served with Gleneagles about 20 minutes' drive away, along with Carnoustie and St Andrews, about an hour’s drive away. The Ochil Hills are on the doorstep, and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park a short drive to the north. Also nearby is the city of Stirling, Scotland’s youngest city and yet one that has so much history, specifically Mary Queen of Scots and William Wallace, with the historic Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument being well worth a visit. Dunblane offers an excellent central touring location, while closer to home is the historic Bridge of Allan.
