    Just a few very minor additions would have been useful, e.g. bread knife, cheese grater and more black bags - but these are minor!

  • "Such a lovely apartment."

    Louise the owner contacted us before our stay and then again once we had arrived! A nice welcome basket awaited us and fresh milk in the fridge which was a great surprise. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped. Everything we needed for our weeks stay. Thank you for providing such a great place to stay.

  • "We had to rebook due to lockdown restrictions but the Sykes website would not allow us to choose a stay of a different length from our original booking (we wanted to do this and pay the extra cost), so we had to cancel and start the booking process again."

    Not a big issue but it was annoying and time consuming and could put customers off. In terms of the apartment and owner all was fantastic. The flat is beautifully decorated, well equipped and comfortable It is a perfect base for exploring the beautiful coast and we’d love to stay there again.

    Arrival information also very clear and very nice to receive a call from Louise prior to and after our arrival to ensure we were completely satisfied with everything, which we were. The apartment was spotless and was equipped with everything you needed. Apartment building was quiet with dedicated parking and just a quick walk into town or the beach.     Really comfortable place to stay. Enough local amenities and for a longer stay.lots of places and things to do. The owners recommendation of Tyninghame Beach was excellent and provided a super day out. Apartment really warm and cosy and has fantastic views from the bedrooms out to the Lammermuir Hills. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Muirfield Apartments. It worked brilliantly for us during a house move and was an oasis of calm. Great coffee machine too.

  • "This was a beautiful apartment very clean and well equipped."

    It was also in a very good position for shops, restaurants etc. Its also a good position for exploring the area you could catch a bus from the end of the street into Edinburgh, we chose to drive and went to sea the royal yacht, the parking was FREE where do you get free parking these days. This was a walking holiday for us and louise ( the owner ) went out and bought us walking books of the area which was very good of her, the beaches and coast line were especially good for walking. its a pity the pubs and restaurants were closed due to Covid, but we still had a cracking holiday and will be coming back.     The designated parking space was a boon, too. The owners could not have been more helpful and keen for us to enjoy our stay and they have been in touch post visit to thank us - which is not always the case. We would recommend Muirfield Apartments 27 without reservation. Thank you.

  • "The apartment is very comfortable in terms of the living room and bedrooms - we slept well in very comfy beds and the rooms are very much as portrayed in the photos."

    The 2 bathrooms were very well laid out and the modern en-suite was particularly welcome. Internally the property is very quiet - we never heard any of the neighbours. The owner, Louise, met us to welcome us when we arrived which was helpful. The property is in an excellent location for exploring the beautiful East Lothian Coast. Several safe sandy beaches are within very easy reach, not to mention the plethora of golf courses. The beach, shops and restaurants of Gullane itself are within walking distance.

The property

Situated in a picturesque part of East Lothian in Scotland is this elegantly appointed, thirdf-loor apartment with panoramic views from the bedrooms to the Garleton Hills, which backs the glorious white beach of Gullane.

The interior of the apartment has been designed for a stylish relaxing getaway for all types, ranging from golfers, walkers, couples, families with children or even a group of friends seeking to explore all that this undiscovered part of Scotland has to offer.

Access to the apartment is gained via stairway, where after you will be welcomed into the stylish lobby area where the design has been completed with a real essence of a home-away-from-home.

Cross the checker-style flooring into the lobby before heading into the spacious living area.

Here you can relax with friends and/ or family on the L-shaped sofa, which is surrounded by a wonderful interior design to admire, with a unique and striking wall clock taking centre stage.

Tune into the TV or simply unwind with a cup of tea in hand before taking a seat at the dining table to tuck into a home-cooked delight that was prepared in the separate kitchen.

Discover your local amenities by a strolling into the centre of Gullane, where the main street plays host to a number of shops, pharmacy, local food store, cafes, two Michelin star restaurants, and a fish & chip shop, which is ideal for those beach days out.

The main attraction of Gullane is that it is a Golfers’ Paradise, with the renowned course of ‘Muirfield’ (hosted the Open in 2013, 10 minutes’ walk) Gullane Golf Courses (8 minutes’ walk) and Luffness Golf Course (15 minutes’ walk) are the three highly renowned courses for those who enjoy the sport.

Nearby also are the courses of Archerfield Links Golf Course (1.9 miles), The Renaissance Club (2.4 miles), North Berwick Golf Course (4.7 miles) and The Glen East Links (also North Berwick, 5.7 miles) - this enjoys spectacular headlands views across the Firth of Forth and of the Bass Rock.

Also, a short drive away are the golf courses of Craigielaw, Kilspindie, Aberlady, Longniddry, Dunbar and Winterfield - all less than half an hour’s drive!

Considered one of Scotland's undiscovered gems, Gullane (from Scottish Gaelic 'Gualainn', meaning 'ridge') is a coastal town on the southern shore of the Firth of Forth in East Lothian on the East coast of Scotland. Hidden away on a scenic drive from the historic capital of Edinburgh, Gullane is part of the John Muir Way, a long-distance footpath along the coast between Musselburgh and Dunglass. Within Gullane, you will be delighted to find a reasonable selection of shops and amenities, including a plethora of pubs and restaurants, as well as a fish and chip shop for those nights where you do not feel like cooking. Attractions within the town includes Gullane Golf Club that is home to three courses and to the south of the town is Luffness New Golf Club. One of the highlights of the town is Gullane Bents, which is one of the best beaches in East Lothian. From here, you can walk all the way round to Black Rocks where you can catch a glimpse of the ruins of Patrick's Chapel. The ruins of the Old Church of St. Andrew built in the 12th Century can still be seen from the western entrance to the town, while further afield, just past North Berwick, you can visit the impressive Tantallon Castle, or visit Yellowcraig Beach. More history of the surrounding area is located half a mile from Gullane, where the ruins of the superb Saltcoats Castle lie and is gradually being reclaimed by nature.
