  • "A quite and peaceful location"

  • "Beautifully presented, comfortable cottage located in a picturesque setting by a stream, with plenty of space for our family of seven."

The owner, Richard was very welcoming , and happy to help with any queries. No bbq but there is a gas fired hot plate outside that did a good job of cooking burgers, sausages, steaks etc. Much easier to clean as well. Be aware that the cottage is quite remote and that the local shop has limited range of goods. The nearest supermarket is about an hour's round trip away. If you feel like getting away from it all and enjoying some peace and quiet then Keepers cottage will not disappoint.

  • "The keepers cottage is a fantastic accommodation set within stunning scenery."

We had a great time with some lovely walks straight from the cottage. Saw wild deer, red squirrels and more. Could not have been any happier with our choice I would highly recommend the place

  • "This is an amazing cottage."

The photos really don't do it justice. We have stayed in many cottages and this is by far the best. Spotlessly clean, with plenty of space and is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Richard is a great host, really welcoming and always available to help out. It is very remote and incredibly peaceful, just what we wanted for a Christmas week away. We will definitely return.

  • "Accommodation was incredible."

Absolutely perfect for what we needed. One small complaint, no sod tables on the living room. Was in constant fear of kicking over a glass. Definitely didn’t take away for an otherwise perfect weekend getaway.

About the location

KINLOCH RANNOCH

Pitlochry 20 miles; Perth 46 miles.

Kinloch Rannoch grew from a tiny hamlet in the mid 18th century under James Small who had served in Lord Loudon’s Regiment and which consisted of discharged army soldiers and crofters who had lost their land. Roads and bridges were improved to allow ease of movement for soldiers at the nearby Rannoch Barracks. The Sleeping Giant is a hill near the village said to resemble the upper body of a man and local legend states the giant will awake upon hearing his master’s flute playing. The main activity today is tourism and Kinloch Rannoch is ideally located for walking, sailing and angling. The small market town of Aberfeldy is close by and boasts a cinema, leisure centre, restaurants and shops. The town is also the setting for scenes in the Outlander TV series. The tourist town of Pitlochry is also nearby and provides many shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre boasting a different show every night of the week.
