The village of Tannadice sits in a conservation area, 1.5 miles from the A9, and there is a shop, café and hotel at the A9 junction.

Kirriemuir, Forfar and Brechin all provide the necessary amenities as well as golf courses and the championship Carnoustie course is only 30 minutes’ drive.

There is superb walking in the Angus Glens, as well as excellent skiing at Glenshee.

A short drive brings you to the spectacular Lunan Bay, a superb beach for a great day out.

Dundee 18 miles.

Kirriemuir is a lovely red sandstone town in the valley of Strathmore, regarded as the gateway to the Angus Glens, which offer some of Scotland's most unspoiled landscape. The town is home to the birthplace of novelist JM Barrie, creator of the much-loved children's character Peter Pan and the house is now a museum looked after by the National Trust for Scotland. A statue of Peter Pan can be found in the town. Kirriemuir also offers an Aviation Museum, Glamis Castle and the historic Pictish Stones at Meigle, while the Angus Glens offer great hill walking and climbing. With a fine variety of shops, hotels and pubs in the town and surrounding area, there is something here to suit all tastes.
