    “What a lovely spot”

What a nice place to use as a base for discovering the Scottish borders. We stayed for a week in Rose Cottage with the 2 kids and the dog. Whilst this is a cottage, there is still plenty of space to spread out, and relax. Central to loads of local sights and close enough to the arterial roads to go a little further, you'll not go wrong here. ...

With current virus restrictions, the owners keep away, but that's no bad thing - if you need them they are so willing to help, and just reading the visitors book you can see how helpful they are in "normal" circumstances. My only feedback would be that personally I think a shower would be a great addition to Rose Cottage. That said, it won't stop us from coming back (if they'll have us :)). To that end, there's part of me that's loathe to leave this review for that reason: we don't want it to be so popular that we can't book again...
