    The owner has thought of everything for your comfort little thoughtful extras included. In a central location in the town. The only problem a bit of noise from the pub next door on Friday night but we was prepared for that as it was published.

  • "The flat was spacious and the location was great."

    We didn't notice the noise from the pub below at all, although we were at the property from Monday to Friday. It was pleasing being able to watch the High Street from both bedroom and sitting room windows. There is a community bakery across the high Street that was really good - highly recommended. Same for the independent grocery store just down the road. The hot water stopped working the first morning but the owner was quick to come and look at the boiler. He fixed the problem, showed us how to fix it if it happened again and left the boiler room unlocked. It did happen every morning but the fix worked each time. We were told the plumber had been recently so I would imagine this is fixed by now.

  • "The property was as pictured and described."

    We visited early February 2022. It was unseasonably mild upon arrival but turned artic within a day or so. However, the flat was lovely and warm, even after 10pm when we returned. I appreciated being 10 minutes walk from Dunbar train station (allow sufficient time for buying tickets and possible train cancellation.). I arrived at Waverley Train Station in Edinburgh in only 35 or so minutes. I know from previous visits Dunbar has lovely beaches but they are a short car journey away. We appreciated the spacious living room and bathroom. We ate out but the kitchen was well equipped. As per any hotel stay or other, always take ear plugs and eye mask. We hope the owner's will allow us to book again as we have family in the town.

  • "Had a great holiday at East Beach Apartment in Dunbar."

    We were there in September last year and it was as lovely and comfortable and homely as we remembered it. The town is full of friendly people, nice walks with the dog, and the lovely apartment to come back to. Everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay is provided including a welcome pack. I highly recommend a holiday here and can't wait to go back kind regards Linda Murty

  • "Beautiful luxury apartment building."

    Fantastically thought out with plenty of amenities, it really was like a home from home. Lovely welcome pack. Wine, chocolates, milk and mince pies! Our children loved the apartment too, and so much space that everyone had plenty of room. Downsides was the noise from the pub, (but we were aware before we booked.) and parking. We also had our dog who was made to feel very welcome with bowls and a non slip mat provided. Downside you are in an apartment with no garden. So toileting can only be had if walking, but the beach is a stones throw from the apartment and our pooch loved her extra walks. Dare I admit I snuck out on the high street in my pj’s many times!

  • "The apartment was clean, tidy and welcoming when we arrived."

    We even got given wine, biscuits and milk which was a very kind gesture and much appreciated. The facilities were great, and the kids were happy with the selection of dvds, books and games available. Dunbar itself was a lovely place to visit, and we arranged trips to North Berwick, Edinburgh, Foxlake adventures and the Museum of Flight - all within a short distance away. As the apartment is situated above a pub it got very noisy at the weekends and unfortunately affected our sleep. We were also unsure about the bin situation and it would have been on benefit to receive some guidance on this. At times parking was also difficult and we had to move our car to ensure we did not get fined. Overall it was a lovely break away and we’d like to thank the owners of the property for such a homely experience.

  • "Really disappointing."

    Especially as it was hugely overpriced for what it was. The kitchen was really grubby when we arrived and we had to thoroughly clean it ourselves (this included sticky table, drawers had food stains down them, fridge shelves were dirty - photos can be provided). There was no coffee maker. The dining chairs were filthy. The heating system had been changed, likely for the better, but there were no instructions and we couldn’t operate the heated towel rail. The whole place was tired and unloved (“quaintly furnished” was ridiculous). Some noise from the pubs below and immediately across the road was expected but it became VERY NOISY until we’ll into the early hours.

  • "The accomodation was excellent, the flat was simply luxurious and above expectations."

    Great value for money and we love it. I can only find two things I’d do to improve it. 1. Add a soap holder or shelf in the shower so one doesn’t have to keep bending down to pick things up! (A more roomy shower would have been nice too i guess) 2. Add a toilet room holder so one didn’t have to keep reaching behind to get to the loo paper. Many thanks for a delightful stay.

  • "A great location."

    Outside the entrance door: turn left a small town high street, with its own history and shops, pubs and cafes. Turn right and there is the beach and harbour. The locals were very friendly. We used flat as a base to explore surrounding areas which are beautiful. We had great weather. Would recommend.

    Lovely sunny week in Dunbar with its many attractions, sea, sand and rocky bits, and a very nice ice cream shop, a real seaside holiday. Will definitely try to book this flat again. Also I left my Fitbit on charge and the owners were kind enough to notify me and post it back immediately.

  • "The apartment was on the main high street which is mentioned in the advertising on sykes website but failed to mention that it was directly under a betting shop and bussssssssy pub and opposite another so the noise from the pubs was horrendoues which resulted in none of us getting a full night sleep for the week we were ther including our 15 month old grandaugher."

    We expected some noise from the high street but also expected it to qqquieten down after the shops ect closed at 5.30 The horrendous noise fron the pubs started about 10.00pm and went on until 2-3pm most nights with drunken people spilling out into the street and also the side street where my daughter and the children were slepping waking them up and also scaring them. This is not acceptable and when we contacted Sykes about this issue we were treated with contempt and felt patronised and disrespected. We asked them to pass our concerns to the owners and requested a refund or part refund for the holiday that had been ruined by the noise. No where did it state in the advertisenebt for this apartment that it was in close proximimty to noise from sevserl public houses. If this has been highlighted we would never have booked this apartment and wasted our money on a awful holiday. The owners have I beleive refused to offer a refund so we would now seek this or some form of compensation from the sssssykes as a gesture of good will. After all we booked this holiday after reading the inforamtion about it on your website. Other holiday makers had mentioned the noise from the pubs in the guest book at different times of the year but it appears the owners done nothing about updating their information to let people know about this and make the informed decison to book or not book this apartment.
