“Some of the utensils have seen better days.”
Bolts on the gates and doors need replacing, the second bedroom was quite cold and difficult for my 86 year old sister in law to get down to , we stayed in October. But the log burner and fuel was very welcome as was the muffins and wine. Apart from these few niggles we enjoyed our stay. The enclosed garden (when we got the gates shut ) was very good for the dog. The village has a very good restaurant The Plough . We found the people in the village very friendly .

We would have loved to have been given the opportunity to help sort the issues you had during your stay.
We have addressed the bolt on the gate, sometimes the gate drops and needs to be lifted for the bolt to slide closed easily, we apologise if this was an issue.
We have also replaced the potato masher, unfortunately I think it is probably the most used utensil and the head and handle decided to part company during your stay.
With regards to the second bedroom, there are thermostats on both the heating system and radiator that can be adjusted to help set the temperature of the rooms, I am sorry your sister in law felt it chilly, we also provide blankets and there is a warm throw on the bed.
There are 3 steps down to the second bedroom, which have a handrail on, but they are quite narrow and we do say they can be difficult for anyone with mobility problems, so I can understand being 86 she may have had difficulties.
