“The cottage is lovely if a bit dated and was very clean with a fab view over St Abbs.”

Great walks over the cliffs and surounding areas, a wee tip if taking dogs, the cottage is near a working farm and if its raining the mud on the road is a nighmare, there is an outside tap to wash them down with. The only down side to the cottage is that the cosy sitting room with the fire is up stairs where the dogs are not allowed, this is a bit of a problem if you have dogs that are used to being with you. We spent more time chasing them back downstairs as they could limbo under the stair gate, then they decided that they would start a choir downstairs until we gave in and we sat with them in the conservatory which is very large and airy, ie freezing (we were there in October) and like a gold fish bowl, as there is no blinds and one radiator, there is a blow heater but doesnt do much unless you are sitting in front of it, but with 4 jack russells with us we were last in that queue!!! The upside of no blinds meant we got a friendly wave from most of the walkers going past and they got a laugh when the dogs heads popped up to see who was there. In all we enjoyed the quietness and the cottage is well situated for getting out and about.
