“The owner had cleaned the house to a very high standard providing us with a tick list of everything she had done to reassure us the risk of catching coronavirus was as low as possible.”

The house was beautifully furnished and in a great location. Local amenities and the harbour and coast were a very short walk away. We had a lovely relaxing break and found parts of the coastal footpath and John Muir Way to be accessable by cross country wheelchair.

“We had a great holiday, I think the only negative with there being 6 of us, was the fact there wasn’t somewhere outside to sit, unless we went to sit on a nearby bench in the harbour or went for a walk.”

With the teenagers playing games in the lounge it didn’t really leave much elsewhere to relax in the evenings. We loved the views and the area and the seagulls did wake us our first night, squawking on our chimney, but it made this part of the experience of holidaying on the seaside. We even managed to swim in the sea a few times and thoroughly enjoyed the coasteering experience and Fox fall near by. Great memories made forever!

“Second visit”

Visited in January, just returned for a second visit, this was every bit as good as the first time. Beautiful house, fantastic location and amazing attention to detail. Already planning our third visit!!

“Absolutely stunning!”

Stayed here for the weekend with our dog. We were met by Trevor who owns the house, he was very friendly, showed us around and the wished us a lovely stay...and a lovely stay it certainly was! The house is absolutely beautiful, having just had a full refurb, it is stylish yet comfortable and welcoming; the attention to detail is phenomenal. Dunbar is a lovely little town, with lovely walks along the cliff tops on a coastal path, plenty to do nearby too. The house is situated about 5 minute walk from the town centre where there are plenty of shops, pubs, restaurants etc. It is also next door to a huge leisure centre with wave machine and slides etc. We cannot wait to return again...hopefully for longer next time!

“Perfect getaway right at Dunbar Harbour”

We had a lovely post-New Year weekend at Harbour View - 5 of us enjoying the winter sun at the East Lothian seaside. Very comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, and most importantly for me, working wifi made the weekend great. Would not hesitate to recommend.

The property

Harbour View is a stunning end terraced cottage in the wonderful coastal town of Dunbar in East Lothian, Scotland.

The house is a great example of homely open plan living and with everything you need within walking distance, this is the perfect place for friends, couples or families to come and experience this fabulous area of Scotland.

You can enter Harbour View via the steps to the front from the harbour side, or at ground level to the rear, the modern wooden floor and fresh décor give it a real homely feel.

Spend your downtime in the spacious, bright open plan living area with everything that you need from comfortable seating in front of the TV, plenty of dining and a well-appointed kitchen allowing you to prepare your favourite meals for everybody to enjoy.

The ground floor also benefits from a useful coat cupboard and a modern family bathroom.

Heading upstairs, there are three light, cosy bedrooms with charming seaside features reminding you of the beautiful location that you're in.

The front bedroom showcases a characterful feature fireplace as well as views towards the nearby harbour.

There is also a really useful outdoor storage area great for storing bikes, golf clubs, diving or water-sports equipment.

Dunbar is a lovely place for a fun-packed holiday, with its range of pubs and restaurants as well as beaches and other leisure activities nearby, you will never want to leave.

Harbour View is a stylishly furnished cottage in a splendid harbourside location.

The lively coastal town of Dunbar, on the south east coast of Scotland, is ideally situated for touring and exploring the area. Boasting lovely sandy beaches, pubs, restaurants, museums and leisure facilities, there is something to satisfy all tastes. The area of East Lothian offers many attractions for visitors including the John Muir Country Park and Museum and the East Links Family Park in Dunbar, the Seabird Centre at North Berwick Harbour, Tantallon Castle, the Museum of Flight, where you can walk under the wings of Scotland's Concorde, and 19 golf courses, including The Open Championship course at Muirfield. Diving off St Abbs is world famous, and beaches at Cove and Coldingham offer unsurpassed beauty. Nearby Cockburnspath lies on the eastern extremity of the Southern Upland Way, a long distance footpath from the west to east coast of Scotland, and is ideally situated to offer great walking.
