We will be 100% recommending this fabulous place to people. I was very glad we were able to to go on this holiday due to coming out of lockdown, we felt very safe from that aspect, everything was put in place, each time we entered the cottage we washed our hands well. It was spotless when we arrived and we tried to leave it like that before we returned home. Look forward to going there again at some point.

It was a beautiful cottage, small but perfect for two (and a dog) and had everything you could wish for. I loved the old and historic mixed with the new and modern. The whole restoration has been wonderfully done! The owners next door, Malcolm and Denise, met us on arrival and were very friendly and helpful and luckily weren’t too bothered when our dog Betsi kept escaping into their garden to see Kooki! :0 They had left a lovely welcome pack for us with the essentials and some tasty carrot cake! The location was perfect for us. It seems in the middle of nowhere, up a narrow lane for about a mile, so quiet and peaceful and surrounded by countryside. However, you are only 15 minutes from Ludlow and it’s shops. Definitely worth a day visit as the Tudor style buildings are wonderful! Very dog friendly too! We also visited Church Stretton which was a nice little village for tea and cake. Had a lovely dog walk through Mortimer Forest and drove to The Ironbridge in Telford which was very picturesque. I would def recommend the pie shop opposite the bridge: huge, tasty pies and pasties! All in all, a wonderful, relaxing few days which was just what we needed! Thank you.

The owners provide a welcome pack of milk, butter, bread, etc which makes it so easy when you arrive, especially the home-made Carrot Cake which was so thoughtful.. The views from the cottage garden are amazing, it is incredibly peaceful and this is added to by the facilities of the cottage. The area where the cottage is situated is beautiful, very scenic with many places to visit during your stay or you can simply enjoy all that the cottage has to offer. When we arrived Denise and Malcolm, the owners who live next door, had left some delicious carrot cake. They were so kind right from the start. The cottage is charming and very cosy. It’s perfect if you want a remote place that’s not too far away from little towns and charming pubs. However, our stay took a turn for the interesting when the “beast from the east” hit. We couldn’t get out for two days past our expected departure date. Malcolm and Denise wouldn’t hear of us paying extra, provided us with as much fire wood as needed, and were so relaxed about us staying over our agreed time. They even arranged a JCB to come and dig us out when the council didn’t show up. In summary, the cottage was lovely, the owners went so far above and beyond and the area is beautiful and great to explore. We can not recommend it more.
