Excellent facilities. The weather complemented our stay , it was warm and sunny enhancing our spring holiday.

  • "This house was unique, sophisticated, elegant and outstanding."

A party of 7 people stayed for 3 days and had a fantastic short break. The hot tub was a lovely bonus we all wished we had booked a longer break. The town, pubs, restaurant and shops were all approx 10 mins walk away. We had an outstanding last night meal at Houseman's Pan Asia Restaurant and even meet the chef. Sensational evening. We will definitely be back, there was nothing negative the owner has got everything....spot on. Well done.

  • "We had an absolutely brilliant stay."

Everything was as described, it is a unique property with stunning views. The property was clean and the extra attention to detail was really appreciated, things such as a welcoming package, a message and weather report on the chalkboard upon entry and earplugs etc in the bedrooms. 10/10, thank you. Would definitely recommend.

  • "The roundhouse is a beautiful property, in a glorious setting."

Everything was just about perfect. The only 2 things I have a niggle with, we couldn't get the dishwasher to work, and had to scoop out the undrained water. Unfortunately there was broken glass in it from a previous use (not ours) and my friend cut her hand on it. The only other thing was the light in the en suite that comes on when you enter. This is extremely bright and startling in the middle of the night. However all that aside we are hopefully looking to re- book for another visit. Oh and the jacuzzi is wonderful.

  • "We stayed at round house as a group of friends celebrating a special birthday."

The house was just what we had hoped for, clean comfortable and stunning views whilst drinking our morning coffee. Carding Mill Valley is only a stones throw away and is worth a trip, some beautiful scenic walking routes. We had a fantastic weekend and would love to visit the round house again! Ferne the owner emailed before hand to see if we needed anything and the tray of goodies on arrival was a lovely touch! All round fabulous weekend!

  • "We enjoyed staying at the round house with its glorious view."

The Property was quite hard to find due to its location behind another house. The Property was well kitted out but some minor issues that can be easily rectified include better cooker instructions, but more importantly the sheets are ready for an upgrade as they were very bobbled to sleep on , this would not deter us from going again or recommending the round house would just take my own sheets.

It is in a fantastic location both for the amenities of Church Stretton and for the views it affords of the valley. I would recommend it without hesitation as my family thoroughly enjoyed it.

We spent the first half hour walking around whispering wow! Comfortable , well equipped and with a beautiful view too! We ate breakfast gazing across the valley to the stunning view of the Long Mynd, and spent evenings in the hot tub star gazing and spotting bats! Fabulous location for walks in the hills as well.as exploring Shrewsbury and Ludlow. We had a fabulous relaxing week!

  • "The Round House was a gem of a find."

A beautiful, quirky building nestled in the hill within a 10 minute walk into Church Stetton. The house was lovely and clean and had all the amenities needed for a lovely stay. The hot tub and barbeque were great, and the welcome pack and barbeque kit were lovely additions too. Good communication from both Sykes and the property owner. Nearby Ludlow and Shrewsbury worth a visit as was a walk in the nearby Carding Mill Valley. We were sad to go home and would recommend the Round House.

  • "We have just returned from a lovely week holiday at roundhouse."

Upon arrival the views are breathe taking. The house is nestled half way up a Shropshire hill looking across at the valley. Truly stunning. On arrival; The check in was seamless, house was clean and well equipped for our holiday, the welcome tea and coffee was appreciated. Host; the host was easily accessible and responded swiftly to any queries. Value for money; for the price we paid (circa 1600) we were satisfied with our holiday, we went to book for 2022 and noticed the price has increased significantly. We held off booking. With this price increase there are a few things the host needs to Improve, there is a smell of sewers that appears in one of the bedrooms making it difficult to sleep there, this didn't impact us as we only needed 3 bedrooms however if the 4th bedroom was needed that would cause an issue for others. The zips on the cushions in the living room are broken. The dishwasher and tumble dryer should be checked before each new guest arrives, dishwasher had no salt and the tumble dryer water and lint collection were full to the brim. Finally the filters in the hot tub should be cleaned more thoroughly there was a lot of debri attached to the blue filter in the bottom of the hot tub. These items are not being raised as a complaint but as a recommendation based on the price increase. We had an amazing time at the roundhouse, the pictures do not do it justice. We had one of our favourites UK holidays here at the roundhouse. Its a place you can truly switch off and reset. Thank you for a wonderful week. I'm sure we will be back soon.

  • "The Round House is in a lovely situation with woodland walks behind the house and only a 10 minute walk down into Church Stretton with its pubs, cafes, take aways and supermarket."

The National Trust is on the other side of the valley only a 5 minute drive away. We took the train from Church Stretton into Shrewsbury which only took 15 minutes and had a lovely lunch at the Prince Rupert. The kitchen is well equipped and there was a lovely welcome pack which included marshmallows which we toasted over the BBQ. The rain let up enough for us to eat out on the verandah a couple of nights which was great. After going on lots of walks it was lovely to come back to sit in the hot tub. A definite bonus. The house was immaculate and communication with Ferne was excellent. Would absolutely love to come back in the future.

  • "The Round House is a fabulous place to stay in a beautiful area ."

Very difficult to find fault . On the constructive side , as they are new to the holiday letting business , it would be helpful if the owners were given advice on how to put together a comprehensive folder of instructions on how to use the very modern facilities . Such as the induction hob , the heating system , the TV systems and so on . These things may seem trivial but in my experience they just make the holiday run more smoothly . I reiterate , this is a fabulous place to stay .

  • "House was lovely, the sofa in the kitchen is a little dirty as are the dining chairs, the cooker extract also needed cleaning, the boiling water tap in the kitchen also needs looking at."

Other than this the house was lovely in a lovely area with great views. You have to walk a little way from the car to the house which was fine for us but just worth noting. Would have been nice if there was a bbq, however there is a hot tub which was very enjoyable and bathrobes are provided which is a nice touch. It's a high quality house and feels more than a holiday let.Would return again and recommend to others.
