  • "This was our second visit to Criftin Farmhouse."

It is perfect for a young family and grandparents. Lovely large double bedroom downstairs with a spacious wet room next door. A shower that drains away really well and is very efficient. Everyone else accommodated upstairs, again spacious accommodation A very large and safe garden perfect for all sorts of adventures, our grandchildren were so excited to going back. Shropshire is a beautiful county with some lovely market towns. The owners are friendly and helpful.

Thank you Caroline , lovely to hear you and your family enjoyed your holiday with us … Property Owner

  • "A very relaxing stay with amazing views."

The enclosed lawn area was very useful to walk our dog who requires short, regular walks. First stay in the area, would like to return if circumstances allow. Overall, a clean, well equipped property. It was a little cool at night, no heating appeared to be on at any time, we were able to purchase logs and make use of the cosy fire. A manual With information such as contact numbers, recycling criteria and emergency contacts would be useful.

  • "This accommodation was ideal for our family, well equipped for the children and spacious with a great safe garden."

A couple of queries were very promptly addressed by the owner. The location was so peaceful with stunning views of the Mynd.

  • "So quiet/ ideal for us after a few stressful months."

Lots of places to visit if you want to and The Crown is an easy walk away. We recommend the roast! The owners gave us their text number and immediately answered if we had a question. The cottage has masses of space so you don’t feel on top of one another and there are plenty of smart yet comfortable sofas to relax. Washing machine, tumble drier ( don’t forget to empty the water container! Washing line and pegs) Plenty of loos so great for families. Our little dogs enjoyed the garden which goes all round the house. A great dog walk with beautiful views is Clun Castle.

  • "House worked perfectly for us (3 generations)."

Much more spacious then the pictures and we all really loved it. It is also situated in such a beautiful part of the country and would definitely return. Sykes cottages were not so helpful though, had to call them twice the week of the trip to see if we could enter early as we saw there was not a booking before but they said no due to cleaning but when I spoke to the owner, they said it had already been cleaned and no one from Sykes had been in touch so in the end we could.

Ideal for family with mobility issues as downstairs bed and wet room. Fabulous views from kitchen and lounge. Can walk into Wentnor less than a mile away with a welcoming pubs. Will definitely stay again. Owners were very helpful both before and during our stay and even helped us get one of our family cars started. The wine and chocolates was a lovely touch at Christmas

  • "We had a lovely stay at Criftin farm."

It was warm, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The views were amazing, even in the mist. We managed to do two lovely good walks, and a lovely meal at the Crown Inn. A little book off instructions and itinerary would be good, but half the fun is discovering things. We would to return in the summer months.

Very comfortable but would suggest information on the cottage in a folder for Heating,Lighting appliances etc Also what the recycling rules are for the Cottage We had to families from different councils with different rules on the recycling depending on how did the rubbish for the day some things would not go into the recycling

  • "Criftin cottage proved to be the perfect place for 3 generations to gather to celebrate grandpa's 70th birthday."

..clean, cosy and spacious. Any previous problems had been rectified. Having lived in nearby Bridgnorth for over 20 years we were familiar with the location and made the most of the cottages position to revisit Ludlow, Blists Hill Victoian Living Museum, Cardingmill Valley, Stokesay Castle and of course a steam train ride from Bridgnorth. The garden proved a hit with the children and adults alike with the croquet set featuring in many a challenge. We would happily return!

  • "We had a lovely time in Criftin Farm House, meeting up with family."

The space is very generous inside and out, and the views from the garden are just stunning. It was fantastic for watching birds of prey and the stars at night were the best we have ever seen. Everything in the house was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only negative point was the bathrooms, especially the ensuite which felt grubby due to needing regrouting. The owners were friendly and helpful when we had an issue with electricity, however it would have been useful to have had a contact number for them for issues, instead of just an email, as we had to sit on hold for Sykes for quite a while in order for them to get hold of the owners. All in all we had a really lovely stay and would return for another big gathering.

  • "1 The shower units in all the bathrooms, especially the ensuite (which was very grubby) all required demoulding and regrouting."

2 There was a leaking pipe behind the sink in ensuite which caused a lot of damp on floor. (owners notified during stay). 3 Leaking tap into sink bowl in wetroom. 4 Dishwasher did not work for all stay (reported to owners during stay but not rectified). 5 Knob on entrance door inside lock kept falling off. 6 TV did not work. 5 No mobile signals or wifi connection for last 5 days of holiday for all of our 4 phones with different providers. 6 Central heating came on everyday downstairs despite the heating controls on wall turned to very low. (weather hot!). 7 Cooker Hood did not work. 8 It would have been very useful if some instructions would have been left how to use various devices. The Farmhouse is in a lovely location and it is spacious and mainly comfortable. It is such a shame that the above caused us discomfort when an inspection and certain repairs were made good (and not temporary fix its) without too much cost could have upgraded the accommodation to a more satisfactory standard.

  • "Very well equipped house in a beautiful location."

Lots of space, including outdoors. Plenty of kitchen equipment but i would recommend taking your own sharp knives. Plenty of seating and large dining table. Very useful utility room with boot rack, washer, dryer, and dog bed! Comfy beds. Lots of little extras like a croquet set and child’s rocking chair. WiFi a bit unreliable and no mobile signal on Vodaphone. All in all, a great house and we would definitely consider returning.

The conservatory and rear bedrooms have spectacular views over sheep fields and the Long Mynd. Very clean and comfortable, and the downstairs bedroom/wet room was great for 86-year old mum. Perfect for a week away from it all and the owner's communication about COVID precautions gave us confidence in these difficult times. A lovely house in a beautiful area, we were sad to come home.
