If you fancy getting to know your local area, take a short car journey to the nearby Bishops Castle where you can enjoy some pub fare at the Three Tuns Inn which has its own brewery, the oldest in the country.

Montgomery and Welshpool are accessible by car, where you can find magnificent Powys Castle Gardens and the Ffridd Faldwyn Iron Age Hillfort - a perfect day out for history buffs.

Another fantastic day out can be spent in Ironbridge, where there are 4 museums to be visited, one of which being Blists Hill Victorian Village which is perfect for all the family.

The county town of Shrewsbury is also close by, where visitors can find all attractions from eateries of all types, interesting small shops, take a historical trip on the river from the Welsh bridge to the English bridge, go to the theatre or visit the Prison and Castle.

Further afield, you can find historical Ludlow with its market and Castle, Church Stretton under The Long Mynd with its famous bric-a-brac and antique shop and golf course with some of the most amazing views in England.
