The property

Bishop’s Castle 4.3 miles.

Set in delightful countryside, adjoining the owners’ home in the lovely village of Norbury, this pretty, Grade II listed cottage is just a short stroll from the parish church and a 10 minute drive from the charms of Bishop’s Castle.

Having been tastefully styled to provide welcoming accommodation, the cottage retains its original front windows and Victorian chimneys.

It has two attractive, first floor bedrooms; the king-size double enjoys unspoilt country views across the front garden and the rear twin room can be made into a super king-size double on request.

Enter the cottage through a character wooden door and into the charming sitting room, which has a warming woodburning stove.

A door leads through into a social kitchen, with a dining area, where you can sit in front of the open fire on cooler days, keeping the chef entertained whilst they prepare sumptuous evening meals.

Or, if you require a night off from the kitchen, the owners will be delighted to deliver a home-cooked meal to you, or welcome you to The Coach House for an evening meal, just around the corner.

They can even offer a daily loaf of home-baked bread!

Outside, the garden provides a delightful, tranquil retreat in the summer, enjoying a south facing aspect and doorstep walks leading onto The Long Mynd, The Shropshire Way and Stiperstones, with links to the Offa’s Dyke Path just over the hill.

This superb cottage is the perfect location for an exciting break exploring Shropshire and the surrounding area, all year round.
