  • "The cottage is beautiful, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday."

    Really couldn't praise it more.

  • "The cottage was excellent but the games room was really a “man cave” and not suitable for children and the hot tub was for adults only it didn’t matter our 9 year old thought it was fun but probably should be mentioned in the script."

Also the cottage was situated on an extremely busy main road and immediately next door to a large and busy co op open every day until 10 !! Good if you’ve forgotten something and again 9 yr old loved popping in for daily treats !! A bit too convenient! There was a good play area an large gras playing / football pitch nearby and nice walks for the dogs . Had to drive to the beach but nearby and parking directly on the beach and a Huge Pontins amusement park also close by bit of a temptation !

Omfortable and spacious with a useful garden room containing a really good sized hot tub. The owner was friendly and helpful resolving a minor problem very efficiently. Looking forward to going ack again.

The house was so lovely and rooms very big. Loved the garden room and hot tub , we used this everyday. The house had everything we needed for a great family holiday

We really enjoyed our time in this wonderful comfortable place. The beds were comfy, everywhere was clean and tidy, we really enjoyed time in the hot tub. Shop assistants next door are so helpful and friendly. The beach was so lovely and quite, we had a lovely stroll and read our book for a while. We are looking forward to booking again soon.

Cottage on a really busy road, and a very small path outside

  • "The position of the cottage is perfect with easy access to the beach and the surrounding area."

The facilities are excellent and we had everything we needed. The only comment we would make was that the settee is extremely tight for 6 and a little uncomfortable especially when u do all try to sit on it. All in all we had a lovely holiday and will definitely book again!

  • "We had a lovely stay, the property had great facilities and was very clean."

Location is good for lots of local attractions, Brent Knoll, Brean Down, Cheddar, Weston-Super-Mare etc. The only things that may need changing are the pillows as they were quite uncomfortable and the sofa as some of the seats have seen better days. Loved the hot tub. We had some chilly nights so the wood burner was lovely to have too. Would definitely look to book again the next time we want to stay in Somerset

Hot tub a big bonus. Felt at home straight away and perfect for dogs. Great facilities and handy to have co op so close! Would highly recommend. Just ensure dogs don't run out of front door not on leads as on main road!!!

  • "Our family enjoyed Berrow Lodge, the garden and the hot tub were nice to use and the kitchen was lovely and very well equipped."

The utility has everything you need. We did ask Sykes to make the two single beds into the king size zip link , however this did not happen and we left a message with the owner , he came round very quickly with all new bedding to solve the issue and offered to make the bed up himself. It seems he uses Sykes for housekeeping otherwise. The only down side was the noise from the road, it was very warm during our visit and we had the windows open day and night. The road is very busy and traffic starts early. It probably isn’t an issue in the colder months as the windows are good. One last thing, the beds do need to have mattress covers.

  • "This property is amazing, I actually think it's better than the pictures!"

We had a fantastic 4 nights here. We loved the cottage and it was beautifully clean. The garden room with all its facilities was fantastic, we spend every night relaxing in there, what a brilliant idea. we visited lots of places in Somerset whilst we were there and Berrow Lodge was the perfect base. We will definitely be visiting again and would definitely recommend to others.

  • "Based on the cost of the property stay for 2 weeks, I point out the following - poor quality beds in 2nd and 3rd bedrooms - poor quality bedding and pillows in all rooms - 3rd bedroom with single beds looked like an after thought - no dressing table, no mattress protectors, no curtain (had to put a towel up on the window) - sofa in lounge, very worn and rickety."

    - musty smell throughout the property. - garden needed a good clean of cobwebs by back door and window sills, and brush going over the patio area before we arrived. - kitchen fully equipped, had everything we needed - garden with hot tub and games was excellent

  • "Good mix of a property over 200 years old with all mod cons, including the garden room with darts, hot tub, gym equipment and two smart TVs meaning you spend more time there than the property itself."

    Pricey, but a great property

  • "The Cottage is very homely and very well equipped there is plenty attention to detail."

located on a busy road however we spent most evenings in the party/hot tub room therefore not a problem and found the close proximity to Co-op handy. The beach is a short walk over the golf course perfect for people with dogs it might be nice to advise people not to try and approach the water as there is dangerous sinking mud in the estuary Quests with children would be more suited to using Weston-Super-Mare beach which is only a short drive away and much more of a sea side town. We ate out at two local pubs who accommodated our dog and The Red Cow is particularly good. The only issue was the hot tub being designed for 5/6 people we found that once 3 of us used it two nights in a row the water was very murky I contacted the owner who responded very quickly to clean the filter which we did however we do feel that the hot tub required additional chemicals I can understand why these chemicals are not made available to guests maybe a mid week check is required as we felt we could not really use it the last two nights of our stay The party room is a great addition to the property and the enclosed garden is perfect for dogs. We really enjoyed our stay there was an excellent level of communication both from Sykes and the owner with a well put together manual in the property.

  • "The place is nicely done and equipped with all necessary amenities and facilities."

There are a few things that owner can consider looking at- - house needs proper cleaning in the garden area for the webs, in the patio, outside door room, even on the garden tools and machine which was all within our visibility and could not be ignored. My wife and sister suffered dust allergy for the first two days and were constantly on medication. - a couple of windows should be left open before guest arrival so it doesn’t feel stuffy. -BBQ needs proper cleaning for the mould all around on the base - there was no hair dryer All in all it was a lovely experience. The place is beautiful with a great mix of traditional and modern structure.
