  • "I can only say that the cottage is excellent !"

No complaints at all !! But be aware it is a mile down a lane, and at least 3 miles from the nearest shops/pub/chip shop. The WIFI is very good, but no phone signal.

Very quiet and interesting site particularly the beautiful Tudor Manor House close by. Will return to explore more of the beautiful heritage coastline close by.

  • "Cottage is fantastic and very well equipped."

Comfortable bed, excellent shower. Only suggestion would be for a blind on the velux window in the bedroom. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Owner is very friendly and helpful."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. this was our second visit to the cottage. Plenty of hot water and the bed was extremely comfortable. We would have liked to have had a potato masher but this is a very minor point. At this time of year there seems to be a problem with spiders entering the property but, again, this was a minor inconvenience. We are very likely to chose to book with Sykes again.

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay!"

The cottage is nice and tucked away - but close to lots of beaches, forests and towns. So is a perfect base. Cottage was very clean and the owners were very helpful with arranging everything before our stay.

  • "We rented both Poppy Cottage and intially Ash Tree cottage, but then Lorraine offered us the larger Snowdrop cottage for no extra charge so that our group could be next-door to each other."

We were there for a week, and we were very impressed by the both cottages and the contents provided. (Lots of excellent cooking equipment!) The cottages are great for people shielding at the moment who want to go on holiday with extended family, as you can have your own inside space and lots of shared outside space. The location was great for visitng the local area and the Gower peninsula. We were able to eat outside every day, as there is a covered space opposite the cottages (which was not full of cars while we were there). Lorraine was extremely thoughtful and helpful, and easy to communicate with. A great holiday, we would certainly go back and recommend it to others.

We would highly recommend Ash Tree. Only about ten minutes drive to the Glamorgan coast and the lovely village of Crowbridge, it makes for an ideal base. Perfect to visit the Gower Peninsula and Cardiff.
