  • "We loved our stay at the Dairy."

The owners were on hand for anything we needed but left us to enjoy our stay. Accommodation was great, very well equipped we had everything we needed. The little extras provided were really appreciated too. The enclosed grounds for the dogs to play in was amazing. I loved sitting on the benches watching the dogs playing and enjoying the peace. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, yet 15 minuets in any direction you had lovely towns, markets, and beaches. We loved it so much we have booked again for next year. Highly recommended.

great little extras like the welcome pack plus the dog towels. we had a wonderful time and definitely would consider coming back. Big thumbs up

  • "Could do with a handle in both showers to help to get in and out of the shower easier."

Also a squeegee in the en suite to remove excess water. Brilliant that the dogs are catered for so well. Owners very helpful but not intrusive. Loved our stay.

  • "Lovely cottage, so welcoming and comfortable."

Very well stocked with everything you would need. The milk, tea, coffee. eggs and biscuits were much appreciated. Just a couple of things you might want to consider. A small freezer would be much more useful than the dishwasher. Also would be worth mentioning that woodland available to use is not all flat.

Thanks for your feedback, Shirley - we are going to make a desktop freezer available to cottage guests who'd like one! Whilst it does take up space, I appreciate that some might prefer this nonetheless. Very glad you enjoyed your stay at Dairy and thank you again. Property Owner

  • "What else can we say apart from outstanding!"

If I could give it 10 stars I would! It was very clean, very welcoming, very comfortable, extremely well stocked, lovely crisp white bedding and fluffy white towels! The owners were so friendly and helpful and not at all intrusive, its position is brilliant so peaceful yet not far from the coast and beautiful walks! We didnt want to leave so I guess that sums our review up! Missing it already! An absolute GEM! Thankyou Jo for the welcoming gifts and soft music playing… just what the Dr ordered after an 8 hr dive xx

That's so kind, Doreen - and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. Very grateful indeed for the thoughtful feedback. Property Owner

  • "Our perfect accommodation - 2 adults and 2 dogs."

Dairy Cottage exceeded our expectations enabling us to explore West Dorset and East Devon and south Somerset. Ample household items & high quality furniture and fittings. Thank you to Jo and Angus for their friendly contact plus the flowers and treat-laden tea tray. Our dogs had a sunny, safe garden on the doorstep; but more heavenly was the woodland walk every morning..woofs! from Tulip & Lola. Local hostelry, The Admiral Hood Inn's pie night is not to be missed - book & feast!!

What a lovely review, thank you Diane. We are glad you enjoyed the cottage and Tulip and Lola enjoyed the wood. And I appreciate the feedback about pie night at the local pub - this will be helpful to other guests! Property Owner

  • "Cottage was lovely in a very peaceful setting."

Very handy position for coast. Found living space a bit small,( realise nothing can be done about this) but we were 4 adults and 2 dogs. Small wood at end of drive was very handy to exercise dogs after a day of sight seeing.

  • "The freezer dept of the fridge - the door kept falling off every time you opened the fridge."

The accommodation was very clean and of a very high standard. It would have been nice if the owners came to check if everything was okay with our stay - would have been nice if they had shown more of an interest. Also the accommodation - I was expecting us to be able to go for long walks across fields, etc but very restricted to where you can go - not ideal when you have dogs.

Thank you for the feedback. We met the guests on arrival and made them a cup of tea - they arrived two hours before check in time (which we were not expecting) and the cottage was still being cleaned. The private wood here is about 2 acres - most guests love it for quick dog walks in the morning and evening, but tend to do their longer walks whilst out for the day. There are lots of lovely walks in the area and we leave a number of guides on these in the cottages. We try not to be "interfering owners" once we have checked all is well at the beginning of the stay - but we also appreciate that this is a fine balance. Property Owner
