“A lovely house, close to local amenties and plenty of beautiful walks locally.”- Mrs Rowland, September 2020
“Accommodation very clean and comfortably furnished .”
Due to arthritis I struggled with stairs which were steep and bathroom not supportive for me as no grab rails on bath or walls so does not support disability so unfortunately I would not book this accommodation again. We were visiting relatives who lived locally. Wales gorgeous and owners of accommodation very welcoming.- Mrs Frame, September 2020
“It was a very late booking and not in an area I have stayed in previously so better than expected.”
Cottage was clean and had everything we needed owners lived next door so on hand for as ice etc.- Mrs Taylor, August 2020
“Great place to get away for a quite holiday.”
Shops are close by, 3 lovely beaches you can visit by car, 15 mins walk to the train station that takes you straight to Cardiff. WiFi could have been a little better. Owners are lovely very welcoming. Would highly recommend a great cottage to stay in.- Miss Iqbal, July 2020
“The cottage is a great base to explore the beautiful valleys sorounding that part of Wales as well as the Gower and Cardiff aren't to far.”
We loved the bike tracks that are 2min drive away. Beautiful walks along the river and fields at the back of the house. Lovely owners, very friendly, and with some good advice where to go for cycle tours. Our dog loved it to. So chilled, with supermarkets just 5 min walk away. We loved it.- Mr Wyatt, August 2019
“Had a pleasant stay and the owner was friendly and helpful.”- Mr Davies, July 2019
“Was looking for a row of terraced properties, didn't realize it was a shared/divided house.”
But was happy to find it, as lovely property and quiet, even though close to Outlet shopping, Sainsburys Supermarket, and Odeon Cinema complex. Close to M4 which enabled us to 'hop on and off' to different locations. Very happy week, which went very quickly.- Mr Haley, May 2019
“What a wonderful experience everyone could not have been nicer.”
The cottage was the perfect holiday home a dog friendly oasis. The common ground a minutes walk away dog services if required next door. Informative information.- Mr Skinner, May 2019
“Absolutely lovely place everything you wanted.”
The owners were living close and always waved or asked if all ok. I spoke to them often. Lovely people very very helpful. The house was lovely, quiet, clean and the garden was lovely. Plenty of birds to watch and listen to. My dog loved it secure garden so safe to go in and out of the house all day. He found a bird and chased that around the garden but didn't catch it. Took it to the owner and he was great most helpful great.- Mrs Jones, April 2019
“Was a nice cottage but the garden was covered over as the dogs from the week before had dug it up.”
And it looked bigger in the pictures but overall was a nice cottage.- Mr Pearce, March 2019
“Another lovely week in Mount Ash.”
Such a lovely cottage. The owners are so helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this wonderful holiday cottage.- Mrs Diment, October 2018
“The cottage was in a great location and the owners who were just next door were very freindly and helpful.”
Having two dogs we very much appreciated the enclosed garden and the easy access to the common behind the property which was ideal for walking them.- Mr Mccallum, September 2018
“The owners are very helpful and friendly.”
The cottage is in a good position for visiting the surrounding area. Very close to shops and cinema. The driveway to the cottage is in need of a tidy up. The owner did apologise for the untidiness which is due to health reasons. The cottage is clean and comfortable. It is well stocked with everything needed for your stay.- Mrs Shenton, September 2018
“Owners of cottage very friendly and helpful.”
Ideal base for touring south of Wales as close to motorways and lovely seaside towns. Compact, Comfortable cottage and enclosed garden with seating area. Close access to nearby designer outlet and cinema and large supermarket.- Mrs Tate, July 2018
“Wonderful cottage filled with everything we could ever need.”
As soon as we stepped inside I felt at home. The garden was amazing a haven for wildlife I spent a lot of time in it. The location being so close to local shops and pubs was a real bonus but also close to the M4 and the South Wales coast. The owners were very helpful, informative and friendly. We are already planing out next holiday at 3b Mount Ash.- Mrs Diment, July 2018
“We enjoyed our holiday in Wales, and our stay at 3b Mount Ash.”
There were a couple of improvements that could be made, there was no blind at the kitchen window, and there was carpet in the bathroom which is not very hygienic considering that many people will be using it. There was no clear information on what recycling bins to use. The owner was very friendly and helpful- Mr & Mrs Charles, June 2018
“It should be noted that this cottage is very near a very busy main road, therefore No way could you sit out in the little garden.”
The post code is not recognised by a sat nav. As this was once a larger house that the owner is developing into two properties it can at times be noisy. It is very handy for McArther Glen shopping outlet, but not much else, unless you are happy to drive to other places.- Mrs Hockey, June 2018
“The owners were very friendly and helpful particularly Verity who kindly helped with a problem with our dog.”
Ideal position for visiting the South Wales coast. Also sun trap enclosed garden and walking distance for all shopping needs.- Mrs James, May 2018
“Mountain Ash was difficult 2 find with.”
Sat nav directions.Lots of little things could be addressed.Bed side cabinets not matching & bed very hard.Beds in second bedroom not matching.Stairs very steep unsuitable 4 pensioners.Toilet not very clean & seat moving. Outside lawn was so long our dog almost disappeared. Lots of dog barking from near by kennels. Not quite the standard we expected.- Mrs Fletcher, May 2018
“Negatives: There were dvds, but no dvd player to play them on, which according to the description there should have been.”
The kitchen was generally well equipped, but there was no potato peeler or cheese grater. The toilet and sink in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, though the rest of the house was fine. Positives: The owner was friendly and helpful. The living room was very comfy, with 2 reclining sofas. There was a large flat screen TV with a great picture. The beds were extremely comfortable. There is plenty to do and places to see around the area.- Mrs Jones, April 2018
“The owners of the property were brilliant st accommodating us at really short notice due to a change in our original booking with another company.”
The family are such lovely warm people who made us feel really welcome. They have brilliant knowledge of the area and gave us really good information about places to visit. The location had excellent links to all areas and would be great for coupes and families alike. I would highly recommend booking.- Miss Howarth, October 2017
