A large, proud and wonderfully quirky house with the biggest TV I have ever seen!! All bedrooms beautiful and comfortable and 2 amazing bathrooms. Very well equipped kitchen and utility and a fantastic sun trap of a garden. Lots of downstairs space for guests to find their own spot to chill out. And a wonderful piano room!! But as well as an amazing property the setting in Penarth is second to none - all in walking distance to the Pier (a glorious hilly 10 minute walk) with incredible views, lovely coffee shops and fish and chips and Romeo’s - wonderful Italian restaurant)), a 5-10 minute walk into Penarth Town (lovely town with lovely shops and cafes to mooch round) and just a short roll down another steep hill to the Barrage and a fantastic 40 minute walk across the marina to Cardiff with its bars, restaurants and cinema. The house is just a few minutes stroll from the Welsh Coastal Path and exploration of this all round the Vale of Glamorgan was a joy - stunning beach and cliff top walks from Ogmore round to Llantwich Major (in 2 separate days) was so much fun and all just 30mins drive away. We also enjoyed daily swims at Jackson’s Bay (on Barry Island), walks to Sully Island (tide allowing) and walks in Dînas Powys Woods also very special and close by. Lovely helpful host and very kind welcome basket were icing on the cake of a perfect staycation. We had our young teenagers with us and they loved the house and the location and the freedom to explore all the brilliant places in the vicinity. Thank you so much!
