  • "It was very dusty and webs."

The hoover stunk really bad. The TV didn't work as some issue with signal of wifi

We were sorry to hear that you found the property dusty in places. In our visitor’s book guests generally praise the cleanliness of the property. Our inspection following your visit found no concerns. The television was in full working order and we have never had a problem with it before. We are sorry that you experienced difficulties. Couple of niggles the garden table was broken and no hair drier.

I am sorry that there was no hair dryer. There should be one at the property and I have already replaced one that went missing before. Thank you for letting me know that the garden table is broken. Property Owner

  • "Pen Hill is a lovely property."

It felt really homely and cosy in the lounge. It is very well equipped. It is bit tired in places but that doesnt detract from it being a lovely place to stay. The previous occupants hadnt put their rubbish out as requested so we had to deal with that as well as our own. We had a nice Sunday lunch and an evening meal out at a nice pub in th town. It was a good place to stay. I was worried about parking but we managed to park easily every day in the road opposite.

Just a few niggles, there was no warning regarding number of steps inside the gate and up to the property, and then into the front door There was nowhere to hang coats especially in wet weather AND the local instructions for recycling are unclear, it would be nice if there was a recycling station in the kitchen area, we were having to leave in on the table until we went out the front, Also Food waste, a kitchen caddy would have been handy and biodegradable bags would have been helpful

Appreciate comments about coat hooks. Now provided. Afraid the Vale of Glamorgan recycling policy is complicated and we have tried to make it as clear as possible. A kitchen caddy is provided and biodegradable bags are underneath the sink. The few steps into the property have an accompanying handrail. Property Owner

  • "Pen house is in the perfect place to holiday."

Everything is nearby and the village has everything you need. The house was well stocked and the welcome pack was great. If I had to say anything negative . Parking was a bit of an issue as the road opposite was always full. We did park on the corner where double yellow lines were a few times . If I could change anything it would be the bed. It’s very comfy but small. This is just me as I like a big bed. Thank you for our stay loved it .

Property was unclean Towels smelt House smelt musky Showers were disgraceful , the sink covers were full of hair and scum

Thank you for your feedback. The owner has advised the cleaner dropped some items off at the house mid week and checked if everything was okay with your stay, which you confirmed it was. The cleaner works very hard to keep the property in good order and we have had consistently good comments about the cleanliness of the property from previous guests. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our week in Penn Hill."

The house is spacious and very comfortable, with a pretty walled garden that gets plenty of sun. There was always parking space across the road. The kitchen is light and sunny, really well-equipped and very generously stocked-up. The location is great; it’s a five minute walk to the shops and you can go straight from the front door into the prettiest lanes of the Old Town, many of which lead up onto great cliff walks. A lovely holiday, thank you!
