The property

Nestled in the heart of the quaint coastal town of Newport rests one of its smallest properties, this snug stone-built cottage, Penpwmp.

Offering a warming and homely setting, Penpwmp is the perfect base for a couple looking to explore the delights of Pembrokeshire.

Stepping into the property, you're welcomed into a charming open-plan living space, beautifully-appointed with a contemporary décor complemented by traditional wooden features, providing a peaceful and romantic ambiance.

Relax and unwind on the snug sofa and enjoy a moment of peace in front of the television after a fun-filled day before heading through to the amply-equipped kitchen to prepare a tasty meal for two to enjoy gathered around the bistro-style dining table, toasting a glass of fizz to an unforgettable holiday.

As the day draws to a close, climb the stairs where you'll find the double bedroom (with access from one side only) featuring a delightful neutral décor and offering ample storage space to house your belongings.

In the morning, prepare for a new day in the spacious walk-in shower cubicle before heading out to get better acquainted with your surroundings.

Take a break from doing the cooking and head into the heart of Newport, where you'll be spoilt for choice with the selection of eateries on offer, serving delicious meals to suit all tastes, including The Golden Lion, Castle Inn and Royal Oak and after satisfying your hunger, enjoy a rejuvenating dip in the scenic waters of Newport Bay, or if you'd prefer to stay on land, test your swing with a game at Newport Links Golf Club.

Within easy reach is the stunning Neolithic Pentre Ifan burial chamber or heading west, the nearby coastal town of Fishguard, home of the 'Last Invasion Tapestry' to denote the last invasion of mainland Britain in 1797!

Lace up your walking boots and explore the dramatic coastline via the Fishguard Marine Walk, or if that's not your thing, the local marine wildlife conservation centre of Ocean Lab in Goodwick homes an abundance of exciting marine creatures worth visiting.

Further afield is the Cathedral City of St Davids and the vibrant town of Cardigan, boasting a historic Guildhall Market, perfect for picking up a keepsake of your fantastic holiday, alongside the striking history of Cardigan Castle, dating back to the 12th century and the birthplace of the modern 'Eisteddfod', where you can indulge in the tradition of Welsh Rarebit from the onsite café whilst soaking in the picturesque views across the River Teifi.
