  • "Beautiful lodge in a beautiful location!"

Sue was a fantastic host and looked after us... We suffered a slight problem the first night and Sue was on the case to rectify it for us... Couldn't have asked for more! We would definitely stay here again, we absolutely loved it, especially Herbert our dog who couldn't get enough of the welcome treats left for him!

  • "We had a great week in the property and in the area also the weather was kind the white heart pub was also good."

Only one point, your description said fuel is included in the rental however for the the wood burning stove this was for one night only.

  • "The cabin was very well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated- some lovely welcome gifts even for the dog."

The main bedroom is very compact and sofa small if you have sprawling teenagers. Good instruction pack and ideas for where to go locally. Obviously we came on a bank holiday weekend so areas were busy but we walked Cenarth falls late evening and it was lovely. The beaches were fine if you were prepared to walk along and fantastic for dogs as majority all dog friendly. The holiday camp was quiet with a good area to walk the dog but not sure if the cabin can use the facilities as it didn’t really say, e.g. swimming pool or laundry. Unfortunately we were around when there seemed to be a local rave with b and d music blaring until midnight both nights but we did wake to the birds singing which was lovely.

  • "A lovely little cabin, with all that you need."

Great welcome hamper on arrival including treats for the pooch. We had a lovely holiday. Definitely would recommend and highly likely to book another stay there. Unfortunately phone signal is non existent so we battled a little with planning day trips and booking restaurants etc. o2 & Vodafone.

  • "The drainage system on the site needs to be better maintained as we had a total blockage on Thursday night and spent a while unblocking the system."

  • "Excellent compact retreat."

Nice decor, and some lovely touches in and around the property. It is clean, well decorated, modern and clearly well looked after with plenty of utensils around the kitchen. Additional nice touches are the flowers, and Welsh cakes, jam and coffee, left for guests. The verandas, particularly the front one was a lovely place to sit in the morning and after a day out. If you Google earth the Penlan holiday site, this unit is located in the back right cul de sac from the main road.
