  • "No 1 Hart Terr really suited our requirements and is well set-up for mountain activities."

Our only issue was the central heating wasn't working too well, making the house a bit on the chilly side! We were able to make contact with someone who very promptly dealt with the situation and arranged a gas engineer to visit, which happened. We were informed the boiler was a known issue and will be replaced shortly. so that'll be good for future visits.

  • "Brilliant location, great property and perfect for our party of 7."

As much as we could have asked for in terms of comfort, convienience of location and everything within the accommodation we needed. No problems whatsoever and therefore an enjoyable break had by all.

  • "Large end of terrace property in Brecon."

Easy to access although parking is awkward - one space and unclear nearby car parking. (If there’s eight of you you won’t be in one car.) Property is simply furnished with clean painted walls. No pictures which felt strange in such a large property. Use of the front lounge is restricted to no food - not a problem but perhaps should be on the property description. One bathroom and a toilet downstairs did feel a bit restrictive but perfectly ok. The lack of any garden to sit in was a little sad. In conclusion we had a great stay and whilst the property is perfectly functional it wasn’t homely.

  • "Lovely cottage, ideally situated for all local amenities."

our only problem was the TV. Owner was very helpful though and someone came round to sort ot but the aerial may need thinking about. However we were not there just to watch TV and we had agreat time exploring the local area and beyond. I would thoroughly recommend this property, in an area of fantastic views all round. Thankyou

  • "Beautiful house in a lovely area."

Very convenient as it is a very short walk from the Brecon town centre. Just outside the house is a river with a nice walkway. A lovely quiet and peaceful area surrounds the house with the benefit of being able to walk to the local pubs, restaurants and shops. The property is nice and spacious with everything you need. Comfortable beds, lovely living area and great kitchen with all the facilities for cooking. We even had a welcome basket with bread, biscuits and welsh cakes and butter and milk in the fridge. Everything was lovely and clean and we would recommend this to a friend and look to stay here next time we are staying in Brecon. Many thanks

  • "Pros Excellent location for accessing the town and it's amenities."

Walks along the river and canal within minutes of the door which is great for dog owners. The building is lovely and warm. Shower acceptable. Free WiFi. Good telly On street parking available. Friendly neighbours. Cons Water only lukewarm. 'Parking space' not suitable for large car, you would block the lane. No vacuum cleaner - pretty essential when walking dogs in muddy arears Sofas and dinning table not big enough for 8 Generally clean but lack of attention to details - food on placemat in drawers and in bottom of oven. Light and shaver point above sink appears to be broken and there is no mirror. The outside area is not secure for dogs and is quite small so not suitable to let dogs out to toilet in. Personal Preferences I would have liked a teapot Bed is super soft - some of us liked that - but I prefer a harder bed.

  • "The property is in an excellent location and is a short walk away from the town centre."

Unfortunately on arrival 2 members of our party stood on the leaves outside the house which, unbeknown to them, was hiding dog mess so that wasn't the best start. Maybe the leaves could occasionally be swept away from the front door area. The house is a good size however there wasn't enough sofas or dining table space for everyone to be sat together at the same time. The radiator in the twin room wasn't working so that room was cold which isn't ideal especially when you have children staying in there. The house is fine but just desperately needs modernising. The shower is good but the bathroom is grubby. The lock on the door was very temperamental. The kitchen facilities are good but we couldn't use the grill because there was a funny smell and you needed to perform a special trick in order to get the oven door to stay closed so dinner took a while to actually cook. A lovely stay but definitely room for improvement.

Helpful hosts who solved a problem quickly. Excellent amenities and was super helpful to have all the basics (And some treats) available on arrival (Milk, bread, cereal, welsh cakes, tea loaf, fruit) We really enjoyed our stay!!

  • "The house and its position are excellent, however there are shortfalls, the main one is the lack of proper dining facillities."

There is accomodation for for six people and the dining area has a small table with two hard benches seating four and a chair that is on its last legs. amongst the kitchen utensils there are no saucepan lids, bread knife or coffee brewing kit. Very few of the doors in the house fit properly and in the case of the bathroom door it does not lock, this makes moving about at night cumbersome and noisey. The "therapy room" was all very nice but when you consider the lack of a dining room it was of very little use (to most visitors). Details concerning recycling and rubbish collections would have been nice, we felt we were "flying blind" in the property. Despite the moans, we did enjoy the house, it just needs a bit of thought. Thank you.

  • "The cottage was perfectly fine and catered for what we needed."

If we had to be picky then the following was noted: My in - laws stayed with us and did have to contact the owner to provide more cutlery, which they did. The living room was okay but I am not sure it would be comfortable for 8 people. There was a locked room at the front of the property which would have been ideal as a separate space to relax. It contained another sofa and a chair, We were intrigued as to why we couldn't use it. There was also no instructions as to what to do with the bins etc. Thankfully the neighbor sorted it for us. It did look like the property was finished in a rush to get it ready but this is understandable I suppose under these strange times. One benefit would be a dishwasher, as this is self catering there is lots of washing up with this amount of people. The gas oven was also tricky to use. Some better storage in the bedrooms, it was adequate but not brilliant. Oh and some mirrors in the bedrooms! In all though it is in a brilliant spot, and we had an enjoyable holiday.

The owner had also provided basics like jam, cereal, tea and coffee which were nice touches. A wonderful place to stay within a short walking distance to the town centre and walking paths along the canal.

All newly furnished so very clean and smart throughout. Amy the owner was very helpful and quick to deal with the couple of minor issues we had on arrival. We had a lovely stay. Note free parking is difficult but there is a pay and display car park a 10 second walk from the house, worth bearing in mind!
