It has been done to a really high standard. We were a group of six with a dog (including two teenagers!) The 2 wings have their own bathrooms which is fantastic and there's a downstairs toilet as well! The bedrooms (especially the super king felt so luxurious). The pool table was a big hit with both kids and adults. We had a BBQ one night and the outside space is great with a huge picnic table. We had an issue with the back door one evening and contacted the owner. Within hours this had been resolved and the owner was so friendly and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this cottage and although there's not much in the village where it's situated (apart from a great pub), it is a great base for visiting beautiful South Wales!

The historic village of Llansaint occupies an enviable elevated position above the small town of Kidwelly with its magnificent Norman castle, one of the largest and most complete in Wales. Llansaint is a small village dating back to the 12th century and is surrounded on all sides by pasture fields, with panoramic views of Carmarthen Bay. The village is home to a church in the square and a pub serving great traditional food, while a regular bus service also runs through the village. Located at the mouth of Gwendreath River is nearby, historic Kidwelly; visit Kidwelly Quay with its well-kept picnic and viewing areas and good birdwatching. The ancient market town of Carmarthen is approximately 9 miles away, boasting castle ruins, a museum in the town centre, a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets with many interesting shops, an open air market and a large selection of pubs and restaurants. There is also a wealth of attractions within 15 minutes' drive of Llansaint, which include Pembrey's Blue Flag beach, Pembrey Country Park, Ffos Las Racecourse, Burry Port Harbour and the beautiful St. Ishmael Church, built in the 11th century.
